It isn't an animation nor did he do this The boss fight was made by rubercuber and hornet was made by another creator. Both are fully downloadable on the Rivals of Aether workshop He just fought the boss.

This was really cool! I’m not entirely sure how Rivals of Aether works, but here are some of my thoughts. There’s a lot of overlap in the sprites where hornet doesn’t take damage. An 8-bit cover of the Mantis Lords theme would be cool? That spikey ball thing just kinda floats there, it’s not suspended by anything and looks out of place.

Yeah, the Hornet workshop character was kinda poorly made, with the fact that most of her moves share the exact same sprites and her moveset is kinda wonky.

The parts where the sprites overlap is when they the player uses a dodge or parry that gives them a brief period of invincibility
