GT visited the Gilmer County Health Department. I was met with some very rude and unprofessional public employees. However, there was one that was nice and professional. The other just made her look bad as well. No one appeared to know the Georgia Open Records Act was nor about requests.
Employee Ashley (possibly Ashley Dalton) was very rude, unprofessional, and contradicted what others were saying.

as a former supervisor.. i would 1.make them come in early 1hr (not paid) and educate them on conduct and their duty to the public also send ashley home for 1 day no pay with a written warning to all. 2. if it happenes again 3 day suspension no pay with a final warning if any employee acts this way again they will be terminated from their job. 3. 3 stike rule in place and fire any employee that doees it again.

They actually don't get to do whatever the hell they please. Not by their employment contract, anyway. That is why we need these auditors. Americans don't even know what our right are anymore, and many truly don't care. They think it's mean to expect our rights to be upheld. And that's why we have overpaid spoiled brats doing whatever they feel like.

My husband has always held upper management positions and he has ALWAYA said...A office with 1 female employee runs well...A office with 2 females runs well as long as they are placed on opposite sides of the room and do their jobs. Often, when you go to these government buildings and agencies, it seems to me that the "workers" are comfortable just hanging out and doing as they please. If they see anything that is a little different - they don't like it. They want to be bossy, they want to make all the rules, and they think they don't have to do anything and can be snotty to the taxpayer. As a retired teacher, we DID realize we worked for the public and if a principal heard we were rude to a parent/guardian FOR ANY REASON that principal would address that. They aren't being paid to be sassy and condescending to the very ones that pay their salary. They also need to be trained as to the legal aspects of the government entity that employees them.

The distain for the public in this public building is unreal and their attitudes towards a public records request was right close to having a federal lawsuit on them. I am someone in my 50’s who has made many bone-headed mistakes. Mistakes that made me sit there for hours, privately cringing, embarrassed with myself for being foolish and foolhardy. Thankfully most were all before our current surveillance state(which I accept for what it is, constant monitoring). What I learned many years ago though was if you do not have knowledge of particular things then keep your mouth shut. And most of the time, even if you do know a lil sumthin sumthin, it’s still in your best interest to exercise our fifth amendment right until you fully comprehend the situation. Assuming our “adult” public servants would have life-experience and/or training in this area would be another “bone-headed” mistake. Now we have these tyrannical twat-waffles here, who will be seen by all of their family and friends as the special olympic candidates that they are. I hope they have their cringe-worthy, embarrassing moment and learn from their own bone-headed mistakes.

Sir, I saw you in Stoned Vet's chat so I decided to look at your page. I'm retired, 30plus years, and sat on the 'review board' of 4 major hospitals in Nashville, surrounding cities, and Memphis. I am also a HIPAA educator, consultant and entity investigator and inspector. Respectfully, filming any patient without prior written consent, is both a civil and criminal act. It is prosecutable for up to 6 years after the act. You simply have to be in possession of the photo or video. The jail time and fines are scaled, simple possession and upward. You are correct about the nurses needing more education. Since 1996, you wouldn't believe the responses that I would get from entities (entities are any health care provider under HIPAA). Most are clueless despite annual mandatory education efforts. If you have any questions about HIPAA, simply respond to this post. David

Wow, ignorant and unprofessional employees, they work for the public therefore public employees can and should be filmed doing their jobs and serving the public like they are paid to do with other public's tax dollars, disgusting treatment of the public

Why are u badgering them to do something that the HR dept does. They CAN do it but it’s not something they usually do so just keep preventing them from working. YOU know how to get it.
