He could’ve talked to the gas station attendant 30 seconds longer or talked to someone on the street and he wouldn’t have been standing there. WOW! That video was insane. That poor man that got crushed. Just awful!

Just wow. These incidents are always so shocking. I witnessed the aftermath of something similar in Worcester, MA last year. No building collapse, but 4 teens in a stolen car, spooked into a chase that was immediately called off, but they sped through a red light and smashed into 2 or 3 cars at over 60mph. Poor 13 year old girl and one of the others were ejected. Sadly she didn’t make it. Seeing them cover her up from my friends apartment window was one of the most haunting things I’ve ever witnessed. RIP to the gentleman that lost his life here. These senseless and unfortunate incidents are just so saddening.

I dont understand how people just dont care about taking other people lives anymore. I just got back from Florida from burying my aunt. She was walking out of barber shop and some random shooter drove by and shot up barber shop and killed her instantly. She was desert storm vet and had the biggest heart. I dont understand the world anymore.

I just saw this on the news a few days ago and thought that looked like one hell of a wreck. They had to be going fast to take out that much of the building (Also doesn't help that the building looked old and neglected as well). It's a shame for those involved who didn't ask to be. Those buildings are built three bricks thick and bear all the weight of the structure. The fact they hit it just wrong and brought down the entire front wall says a lot about the force of the crash. Even abandoned and deteriorating that took a hell of a hit to collapse it the way it did.

Dan, video suggestion: do a "economic history of Baltimore" , doesn't have to be comprehensive, but just since you've been alive and the major turns and changes you saw in the town in general. Major employers coming/going, law changes, social trends as they pertain to the city, etc. You're great at narrating, know the city well, and could supplement it with footage of some of the places. I would definitely watch it, and if you get a good response, make it into a multi-part series where you go through each neighborhood, or by decade. If you make some $ doing that, then you should pitch a "mall rescue" type show to TLC :D

Outside of the horrific death, which we know was from the crash, this seems grossly poetic in a sense? Baltimore crime highlights the cities neglect surrounding these abandoned and dilapidated buildings.

Either that building was structurely damaged from a previous fire or it was not built to code.

Holy sh! That’s just crazy! I’ve seen some accidents and been in a few but never anything like that!!

You can see him get hit right at the beginning of the video he gets hit and flys down the sidewalk and hits that square thing then the building falls he just got buried by a little bit of the building but I'm sure he was instantly killed when he was hit and flew down the sidewalk. It's crazy you never know when you will go you can be walking down the street minding your own business and BANG your gone forever.

😱😭 That poor man! I feel sorry for the other innocent people in the orange car, too. I blame the cops for this one. Why have a high-speed chase in the middle of the city?? That's crazy! Is it worth it just to catch a few criminals? They're very lucky that more innocents weren't killed. What if that had been an occupied building? Did the thieves take the car at gunpoint? I can't see how it would be urgent enough to initiate such a dangerous chase, otherwise. Cops need to use some common sense.
