Maybe because they’re often independent, not tied to a studio. I love shorts but love epic movies too. In a way they’re two completely different cinematic art forms.

It's scary, but it also feels kinda good to know that the girl will now be warned about all kinds of dangers by this station. It's like having a guardian angel - an odd version of it.

It almost feels like a final destination situation to me even though she escapes one situation one day the next day death will always be coming for her....or atleast that how I saw it.

Sad, this poor girl has to go through eternity, getting killed, over and over again. Now the announcer said, She was found and they identified her. So I guess now, her soul can be put to rest. This was chilling, and a kind of horror, that makes nightmares never ending, for restless souls.

I think what she is hearing is the future. It hasn't happened yet, so these dreams/visions I believe are warnings of what can happen, if she doesn' take the right precautions

This was giving me Twilight Zone pretty much the entire time. Brilliant acting. I love the tension in the beginning when Hester locked eyes with the kids. It kept me guessing and I wasn't sure where it was headed at first- my favorite kind of story. Imagine a short with a slow burn. Left me wanting to know more about Hester. Bravo

I first saw this short in an anthology film called Face Your Fears: Thriller Shorts for Adults. It holds up well on repeated viewings. This film examines the concept of premonitions. It reminds us of how a person might not want this power. It was filmed on a scenic stretch of highway grounding the viewer in a familiar reality. It has a strong Twilight Zone vibe with the horror happening at the end. I loved how Hester just seemed rude in the beginning but I think she was scared and trying to figure out what to do. Also, I loved how the radio was integrated into the story. The soundtrack was spot on contributing to the mystery. Great work by Vanessa Gazy along with the cast and crew in making an effective horror short and future success to all involved.

There is so much talent out there. As a Horror buff for over 40 years, most of these short films done on shoestring budgets are 100% better than most of the refried, remade and overblown budget films coming out of Hollywood. These never cease to impress me. There still MAY be some hope.

I love how the story leaves it up to the viewer to decide who, or what, Hester really is. At first I was convinced she was a girl with a gift having premonitions. Then I was convinced perhaps she was hallucinating hearing those things. But after watching it again, I'm now certain she's a ghost who roams the highway 😅 The woman mentions that her name is "strange," and then keeps repeating that she, "has a bad feeling about" her.

The way the opening looked with the POV driving and scenery gave Mad Max vibes, then seeing the location and hearing the accents justified it!

ALTER and Dust are spot on , and to a certain degree CGBros and some others , often cramming in more into their short films than some modern movies do in 1 1/2 to 2 hr's .

I say this every single video, but this one was incredible! The acting was amazing! I loved every bit of this. Better than most Hollywood Blockbusters! Poor kids fate was death...cant escape it. Either way you go, dead end for Hester. Alter, you kick ass.

Perfect short... Well known recipe but in another very well made concept and decently played. The couple had a lovely air back of 30s - '50s. The girl had this mysterious cold charm.... Lovely ❤️

Poor kid. Also please don't hitchhike-anybody. It is so dangerous in any country. This made me think of Aussie backpacker/hitchhiker Tony Jones who disappeared in 1982. It's been over 40 years and his family still doesn't know what happened to him. Tragic.

I didn't allow myself to watch AlTER for a bit as I was getting to clingy to needing my fix and then I watch this and DAMN. HOT DAMN. Funny enough I just informed a person I know who does Supernatural Investigations about this channel and I just told him about 2 weeks ago.
