1. Good to see you again. 2. Monsters from books comparison? Use the Medusa. Everyone has a different way of dealing with the 'turn to stone' mechanic, but all 5e compatible books and systems claim their Medusa is CR6. 3. They should have invited you to that weird Kraken Week thing. I have been seeing the kraken logo all over the place!

I ran a short campaign based on The Boats of the Glen Carrig; definitely required reading for this setting. The Ghost Pirates is perhaps a little less good. Both books by William Hope Hodgson.
