We had a vet come out and do acupuncture on a few of our horses. It was definitely a learning experience

maybe they should retire the horse and get a replacement and let her relax from now on and just be a mascot

I doubt they'll use her for riding, but she can still be a social team mate for kids and elderly folks. It's best for a horse to have purpose, they're often happier when they're accomplishing something. ^_^

@@DeadlyChinchilla I hope that's the case but the last states right away that they have a trail riding business and Fancy is a favorite especially of the children which I can definitely see why. She's a great horse. And I have to disagree with one thing you said. You said horses often seem happier with a purpose and I don't believe that at all. I think the happiest horses are the ones that just have to be a horse. Horses weren't meant to do all the things we make them do, to run, to jump, to race and carry people they are trained to do this and usually by breaking the horse. She deserves to just live out in a pasture and be free.

Mouse & Cat So if you were to own a ranch with maybe 50, 35, whatever horses, then you can JUST do trail rides only? :D

+Wishingfor ahorse I think they might do boarding and lessons too, plus the government would pay for them to keep the mountain that they do trails on nice and healthy. :)

Honestly, acupuncture is a fairly efficient therapeutic measure. In terms of woo, it's nothing compared to crystal healing or meridian talk or aura BS. And if modern medicine can't give any relief, there's really no reason not to try something like acupuncture. It certainly doesn't hurt to try.
