According to my vet when my horse had a similar string substance, it’s mucous that the body creates to help move manure that’s been sitting too long in the digestive tract.

Honestly, I feel like with horses that are normally great with trailer loading suddenly decide they won’t load, there’s a reason. Could be bad weather, poor driving conditions, accident on the road. There’s a reason you weren’t supposed to leave yet, we just may not ever know what that was.

What Zara had in her poop was mucus it just went through her intestinal track, that's what I know but I'm not 100 percent sure, you should get a vet just to be sure
