George wants to roll, but the ground is cold and wet!

The horse is pawing around in frustration because it’s looking for “dust” and dry dirt to roll in, and while he’s pawing, he’s discovering that the wetness in the ground is further down then he’s willing to dig out. The hind leg kicking at his stomach could be him having an itch

I agree, they can get hoof diseases like white line disease from standing in the wed mud too long. It's bad for horse health

I mean it’s a field with horses in it, it’s not gonna look perfect.
@lizxu322 Жыл бұрын
@@piggy_9 it doesnt have to, I have 3 horses and they are agisted in a field with short grass but not so overgrazed it's got mud patches everywhere. There's gonna be hoof diseases cos hooves are porous and they can get stuff like white line disease. Hooves should always have a chance to dry, it'll be impossible in a place like that. I took a course in pasture conservation and yeah, you're meant to rotate pastures if possible. Ruined and overgrazed pastures take much, much longer to grow back, and have more weeds and an unbalance in grass species as the horse will selectively eat certain grass species over others.

The ground is very disagreeable today.

Stupid title - this horse was NOT having a temper tantrum -- this horse wanted to roll, and the ground was too wet; the horse might have been kicking at flies. NO temper tantrum. Click bait.

It must be boring to be a horse, standing in a field all day, nothing to do, etc.

They eat grass all day then are brought in to eat grain and hay
