The horse should have been pulled up and dismounted after the incident two flights prior because he could have been injured by it or had his confidence knocked, but he was encouraged to continue, and that led to the horrific fall. Let's also note how lucky the jockey is the horse didn't crush him to death.

I love racing but these type of jumps are stupid. A hurdle, fence or bush is fine but jumping over manmade hills where the horse don’t jump over it they have to gallop until the apex and then jump off it’s just stupid

I love horse racing. But not when they have to run long distances and jump over fences. This is animal cruelty.

I don't know about the rest of the world but here in Canada you have so many letters (16 I think) and no more. You have to submit several choices of name for the horse when it is born and the commission will choose for you. Every race horse gets a numerical tattoo inside the upper lip for id purposes. Yeah in the US there was a horse named Hoofhearted. Yup.

They are often a mix of the mother and father of the horse or a mix of names going back a generation or two in its family tree.

Throughbred horses have been bred to race for 200 years .its what they love doing . Ive been to many stables and these horse are 5 star hotel compared to say a gypsy horse tied up at side of road all day amd night . But people dont wamt to say that do they

The jump is very poorly designed.. Its just a large mound which blends into the grass on the track so its very difficult for the horses to distinguish it, and they will not know how to measure/time it in their mind. If you look at the other horses at this jump, there were several last moment alterations of their feet or/and posture. Some of these jumps are stupid.

Eight races equates to less than 60 minutes of racing in his entire life of 9 nine years! That being said, these unfortunate accidents do happen despite the racing authorities' best efforts to make the sport safer. Please realize that this horse would have been pampered all his life as a racehorse and given the very best feeds, shelter and care by the stable staff.

As a kid I watched the Grand National every year. It upset me when a horse died. i reckoned that you could expect two to die in each Grand National

I'm not into animal rights but I am aware that racing is a nasty, seedy little industry using its money to make sure Joe Public doesn't get to see much of what goes on with the horses inside it. When they banned mounted fox-hunting, they banned the wrong thing.

The horse didn’t die because of that fall the horse died because of other things plus people who buy horses pay a lot of money for them they don’t want there horse to die

Many horses died in Kumamoto, Japan, today. They end up as Bashashi, horse meat. I'd prefer to die in a race.

I worked in dog sled racing. I can race you to death if you want. The horses aren't choosing to die, they are being ran to death.

What is your motive for showing these clips ? Are you trying to get horse racing banned or do you take some sort of sadistic pleasure upsetting people? These horses live their best lives , best accommodation, food , exercise , rest , veterinary care and company. Every horse you see on here,would,never have been born , never mind died , were it not for horse racing. Trust me , if a horse doesn't WANT to run or jump , it doesn't. It's called a refusal. You may have seen horses who have unseated their riders carry on running and jumping. It's in their blood .

They get a sick thrill out of watching horses have such bad accidents. They don't have any respect for the horse.
