A Baía da Horta, nos Açores, é a segunda baía portuguesa, depois de Setúbal, a integrar o Clube das Mais Belas Baías do Mundo, cujo galardão ostenta desde o Congresso Mundial das Baías, realizado em 2012 em Bodrum, na Turquia e em Patmos, na Grécia.
“The Most Beautiful Bays in the World” é uma organização sem fins lucrativos, com chancela da Unesco, que reúne as mais belas baías do mundo. Fundado a 10 de Março de 1997 em Berlim, o Clube das Baías Mais Belas do Mundo tem como finalidade contribuir para o desenvolvimento turístico, económico e social sustentável, através da troca de experiências entre os participantes.
Horta Bay, in the Azores, is the second Portuguese bay, after Setúbal, to join the Club of the Most Beautiful Bays of the World, whose award has been held since the World Bays Congress held in Bodrum, Turkey and Patmos in 2012 , in Greece.
