Love the way you attach “stories” to your planting and the appreciation of gift plants…..agree, gardens should include sentiment, etc….as well as letting Holly feature now and then. Enjoying the garden tours

The stories you tell about each plant speak to my "retired teacher" heart. Love the knowledge you and Steph and Holly share in each video. I also LOVE the plants in my yard that were gifts shared with me by friends and family. Love all your videos! Cant wait to see the progress of your patio project.

It’s amazing how quickly these spaces have filled in. Moving more plants around is something I need to do today. I have an arborvitae fern that was in a container and it was struggling to come out of winter. So I popped it in the ground and it seems much happier and has but on lots of new growth. I really love the texture of that plant.

We certainly learn from our successes and failures in the garden! It’s good to see how your plants are doing after such a crazy winter & mild June. If you decide to divide that huge calla lily, I would love some. I’m building a white garden.

Hemiboea Subcapitata! One of my favorite not-well-known plants. I discovered it on the sale rack at my favorite local nursery, and I thought, what the heck! Had never heard of it. Wasn’t sure exactly where to plant it, but the shade-loving, spreading habit appealed to me. Now it is one of my favorite plants. I garden in zone 8b. On the west coast. Love learning about plants from you. Thank you.

Interesting to see how the trees suck all the water from the roots of new plants. I had the same experience planting a hydrangea close to an oak tree. Poor thing has got to be moved. Your garden is absolutely stunning. A work of art!

Holly looks so chill there at the end of the video. So happy in her cool spot. Steph you gotta teach me wise woman how to work with collecting plants. My son Tatertot is a plant collector and so am I. We’ve had a hard time with our plants disappearing into the area. I care for plants well and tend the soil to the best of my ability but design isn’t my strong suit lol

Loving the detailed tour. I’m in year 4 of a new build (blank slate) property similar in size to yours and it has taken those 3-4 years to make it look and feel like things have “finally” filled in and sections of the yard have a “completed” look to them. Gardening can definitely test your patience.

Definitely been cool this spring in N. Georgia so most plants are behind but the native Carolina Lillium, usually an August bloomer, is budded up. Pansies & Violas are absolutely glorious STILL. Your yard looks beautiful, mine is struggling. Solid week of rain & chilly today.

I garden a lot like you! Lots of single plants and I move things as needed, mostly from tree trimmings or removal. One day I hope to not have to keep moving things! 😄 I'm in a neighborhood with mature trees that have taken some harsh cold snaps the last few winters, so many are having to be taken down or receive a heavy pruning. Are you sure that dracaena isn’t cordyline Australias? It looks just like mine, which was also once part of a dish garden. Mine is now 8’ tall and has four trunks. It would be taller, but I have to whack it down now and again so I can reach the crown to clean it.
