Green-Mopeds.com is a London based electric-only moped and motorcycle dealer and importer. We started in 2017 by signing a dealership with Torrot (torrot.com/) after initially seeing an electric moped for rent on holiday in Portugal.
Since then we looked for more brands and became the UK Importer for ECCity Motorcycles from France (www.eccity-motocycles.com/) and then Super Soco (supersoco.co.uk/) from China.
In early 2018 we were then approached by Askoll (www.askollelectric.com/) to be their first London dealer and soon followed by Lifan who were lauching their first moped the E3 (www.lifanmotos.net/product/ddc....
Later in 2019 we also signed up with SurRon with their hugely popular and lightweight LBX Lightbee (www.sur-ron.com)
Mid 2019, we signed up to be the first dealer for Niu (www.niu.com) and sold the first 9 of their new NGT model when it was launched at the end of 2019.
In early 2020 the UK Importer for Torrot moved on to other things and we became their importer to support existing customers of the Muvi range.
Later in 2020 after a request from a customer, we signed up with Artisan (artisanscooters.com/) to sell not only their brand but also Horwin (www.horwinglobal.com/) and Kollter (www.kollter.com/).
Recently we have added ThElMoCo (thelmoco.com) who supply LVENG bikes (www.lvnengebike.com) and now SunRa (www.sunraev.com) and hence offering the broadest range of any electric motorcycle dealer in the UK.
We have been approached by many manufacturers to become their importers which we will consider when the time is right.

Was torn between this and the Niu GT Evo...0-54 in 39 seconds has definitely made my mind up!

I've fairly narrowed down in my choice between this and a socu tc max. I'm happy riding either style so if it came down to safety, quality, comfort and fun! Which one would you choose please?

Ultimately the EK3 can have more range as it can have a second battery. Speed is comparable and the EK3 is more powerful.

Hi, you are the best! I watch all of your videos. With that voice, you should be an actor. I have a question for you. After watching all of your videos and researching a lot, I think that Horwin Ek1/3 is the best. (I like also the idea I can store an helmet underneath the saddle. My only doubt is the motor with the chain. I believe, out all of those you tested, Horwin is the only moped with a chain. Can I have your honest opinion about it? Usually, no chain = less troubles. Thanks very much for the feedback. You are correct, that its the only one with a chain. (Its the same motor from the CR6 which is chain based too) in this class. Yes, chains have a bit more of an overhead. They need spraying and replacing eventually and less efficient than hub motors as there is a transmission of power. On the plus side you have noise which some people prefer

how does the CBS work? is it front and back on the right brake and just rear on the left brake?

A quick one related to this. Will you be reviewing the Horwin SK3 that they are releasing soon? It does appear to have similar running gear to the EK3, but with a different body style.

Yes of course. It has 36ah batteries is one difference

How are the ongoing maintenance cost comparing please? Do you think Horwin might switch to hub motors in the future?

The bigger the bike, the more likely it will NOT be hub as they get too big and heavy to be put in the rear wheel. We charge £60 + VAT for a service. Hondas standard one is over 2 x that for a petrol bike

You said at the start of the motorway ride the battery was full but you were "chomping through it". What mileage do you think you would get at open road riding please? Is it going to be about 20 miles max and do you recommend two batteries? Cheers.

When we got back we had done 37 miles and had 10% left. So that was using the bike at all speeds.

Wow, this company copied the leading E-scooter brand from Taiwan (Gogoro) As usual - like other leading automotive vehicle brands. You should really care is the safety / quality of its battery, most importantly.

Would you do a comparison between this and the Niu NQI GTS Pro

NQiGTS Pro is 70 mile range, 45 mph and 3kw for £3596. EK3 is 6.2kw, 60mph for £3592 for 40 mile range or £5087 for 80 mile range so it depends what you want, range, speed, power and price

@@GreenMopeds I drive the Niu NGT (12 inch/56 mile/hour model). When I drive it full speed it goes to 30 miles with 2 x 32 Ah 60 V batteries (€ 1500 euro/each) It doesn't have enough power to get up to speed at high winds, so I'm thinking about selling it and going for this Horwin.

@@dotternetta we generally conclude that if its range you want then NIU are good but you will find many bikes that offer more speed and power like this one. Another example is the Sunra Robo-S... Same motor power but with 72v batteries compared to NIU 60v and hence it goes faster as a direct result of more Volts.

@@GreenMopeds Thanks, I will look into this. What I really would like to see it the batterys teardown of these scooters. I bought Niu because it has a very good BMS and cells. I don't want to burn down my house or buy new batteries after 20k km

@@dotternetta hear what you are saying but in reality this isn't new technology, it's just a bunch of 2v batteries wired together. I know there have been reports of battery fires but I've never heard of one on a moped whoever has built it
