HOSHI, member of the self-producing idol group, SEVENTEEN, reveals his first solo mixtape. The leader of SEVENTEEN’s performance unit, HOSHI is not only a well-rounded performer with distinguished vocal and rap ability, but is also credited with choreographing various SEVENTEEN tracks throughout his career. In “Spider,” HOSHI likens the feelings of falling for the deadly and inescapable charms of an individual to the desperate movements of a prey caught in a spider’s web. The accompanying music video and choreography visualize the state of being “trapped” and unable to escape from this maze-like dynamic. In SEVENTEEN every member has their own unique way of singing and dancing.I believe that all of them can shine as a solo performer. Because they all can sing,dance,rap. But in my heart i want seventeen to stay as a group and carry on with solo performances as well until they are 70 . ☺️

This is the man that choreograph most of Seventeen's songs. This is the man that was put in the vocal unit before debuting and then put into the dance unit and became the best dancer in the group. This is the man who dislocated his fucking shoulder on stage for dancing too hard and stayed on stage until the performance ended. Im glad bcs It irritates me that things like this seventeen comeback and spider by hoshi, for example, are so amazing and noteworthy but don't receive the attention they deserve from non-carats/general public/general media because svt are a little less popular than some acts but it is what it is. I had listened to their other songs before like Left&right and 24h and songs in those areas but I wasn't such a hard stan than I am now. I think the main thing that was holding me back was the 13 members that I had remember but then again I am good with matching faces with names so it was pretty easy once I watched a crap load of their shenanigans in variety shows and going svt. Tbh, they really do deserve so much more attention cause they are just such bright people, I honestly think I've switched lanes bc I find it hard to focus on the group I was obsessed with before finding out about svt. But I'm proud to be a Carat now, if the fandom allows me to join 5, almost 6 years late 😬💎

@@stantalentsstancomediansst5712 For real this song had soo much potential and imo one of the best solo releases in kpop. It could have easily charted in melon and other platforms. They get 0 international promotions and even korean platform promos have nothing to do with pledis. I remember watching an interview where seungkwan said that during their rookie years when no one knew them, he used to go and ask variety show hosts to feature them(We know svt's variety show appreance really helped their popularity). Imagine being so incompent in promoting that an 19 year old boy ends up doing your job😭 I feel so bad for seventeen they are so talented but their effort is payed dust by pledis and gives them 0 promotion. I always find it so amusing how far svt reached without their own companys support. I love how even despite the lack of promos svt always outsells everyone in kpop (expect bts ofc).
