I’m so excited , I’ve just recently graduated with my degree in Hospitlaity Managemet . Pandemic took a toll on my offers I had from school career fair . Having a hard time looking for jobs .

If you like it and enjoy teaching, then definitely! Consider what speciality you want to focus on in your work experience so that you can teach in that field as well.

Hi 🙋🏻‍♂️ I’m new to your channel thank you for this video it’s means a lot 🙏🏻 I was did a IATA travel and tourism diploma last year and finished it this year after that I was looked for an internship in hospitality industry and travel industry but I couldn’t find a one because this pandemic came in that time ,I love this industry so much,but now I’m planing to do hospitality management degree but I’m a bit scared because if tourism industry will not build up again I don’t want be a jobless person in the feature,I love other industries too but I don’t have a good Qelificaton’s at high school in my country they are looking for high school education too,but if we did a good degree they give us jobs ,so my question is is it okay to start my hospitality management degree? Thank you so much ☺️

Hi Aki! Will the industry have job? Yes it will, not in short term, but it will certainly keep going forward. Yes, lots of people have lost jobs and there is high job competition. But there are lots of people leaving the industry, so they are leaving open spaces for those entering the industry. The industry will change a bit in the future, but so it should, it has had change long time coming! Idk if you should study hospitality, only you know if it's right for you. If you are unsure, you can try a more generic degree like business?

Great question! Not at all, you can build a career in the whole hospitality industry. With a degree in hotel administration specifically, it would be easiest and most convenient to start in hotels! But it doesn't mean you need to work in a hotel for the rest of your life! What do you want to do?

High I just had to reply I know it’s late I hope this convinces you..trust me you do not won’t a career as a chef or in the hospitality industry..believe me you can find happiness and for filament in any other industry. Believe in your self your are worth more then being a subservient dog because that’s what you will become, and everyone will be barking at you all the time you will have no life you will work for next to little money. You will work your guts out all relationships will breakdown. I have been a chef for many years and I hate it. I truly wish I never became a chef I have been used abused robbed harassed and bullied. It is a miserable existence. You can do better I wish someone had told me years and years ago. And it’s virtually impossible to leave wonce you have been it it for years. I’m in the process of trying to leave

Hi Charlie! It depends on what you see being worth it or not. Can you get a job after? yes. Can you build a career? yes. Can you make lots of money? That is totally dependent on you. If you like hospitality, yes it's worth it.

Before you start, you need to understand your legal rights and restrictions. Do you need a visa? How can you get it? WIll student visa allow you to work? etc. That's very important. Then, start getting experience wherever you are and learning all you can about food and beverage!

it rlly depends on which company u apply. they all have different rules

Honestly, some companies don't like visible tattoos. it's traditional to not like then and to hide them - especially if you work in children's clubs. But many modern and younger companies don't have those rules, and support your individuality.

To whom ever reads this.. DO NOT ENTER THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY..DO NOT BECOME A CHEF..! Your life will be a misery I have been in the industry for many years.. AND I HATE It.. Being a chef is not what it’s cracked up to be.. it’s not a masterChef style tv show.. where everyone has wounderfull modern high tech equipment. Having lots of fun creating with a magical pantry full of luxurious ingredients.. F..king run kids you will have no life. When everyone is parting or enjoying special family gatherings. You will be working your guts out for little money and having to work with people you would rather smash a crow bar in the face. And employers who will rip you off and ruin your career when your usefulness has run its corse.. I know how this might sound two some but this is putting it lightly. Depression and despair will become your friend. When all your friends have moved on because they never see you or forget who you are because your always working. All relations ships break down because work demands everything from you. Robbing your life essence leaving you a shadow of your former youthful self..? 😊
