It depends on where you live and what country. Only idiots that dont know anything comment stupid. My brother house is only 1.5k square feet and his house is nearly $1million in usd. My house is 2.5k square feet in the 200k usd range. Henry house in canada looks like somewhere in the $2- $5m range. A house big like that in south korea (Seoul) probably $5-8m

No. It seems like around $2-3 million house. Typical middle class house in Toronto. Not many people live in Jane and Finch area where housing price is less than 1 million CAD

It is a gorgeous house, but certainly not as ostentatious as many people prefer. It looks like a home. They have the refrigerator magnets to prove it. They've obviously worked hard and been successful. I'm glad they're enjoying a comfortable life.

This home is definitely not the norm in Canada. 90% of Canadians live in modest 3-bedroom homes .....small bedrooms....average furniture. Toronto and Vancouver are the most expensive places to live, but only the very very wealthy would have a home Henry's parent's size.

jane Ellens that’s not true.. depends on the city you live in, I’m from Canada and most people live in two stories. Though there are town houses, duplexes, triplexes, and then single family. Most ppl that lives in a bungalow nowadays are older... in my area at least.

Right absolutely it is not common but they do exist as a lot of affluent migrants can afford such house. We are from Canada too but in the coldest part of it and brand new 2 storey houses is possible to get if you and your better half have a good paying salary

@@shieuchia2661 Absolutely they do exist. All I meant was they are not the norm in Canada. Most of our new housing areas are two story, condos, or town houses, but they don't come cheaply. That's why we have so many mortgaged homes with people struggling to make ends meet. Sometimes all people can afford is an older home.

My friend came from a humble background in Hong Kong, when he was little he was given fish heads to eat and know he owns his own restaurant business and has written a book....He is a great and generous person!

W J S N $2million? Lol you kidding me? The price of houses in Toronto has went up like crazy these years =] you can buy a small one garage house with 1 million and a little better with 2 million. He has space for 3 garages here. Obviously they didn't buy it for a few million in the past, but it could be worth that much.

@@jayal5771 Canada is a credit society, which is why it is a "developed" country. Usually you can finance with 5-10% downpayment and stretch the mortgage out to 30 years. So you don't need that much cash on hand. Willowdale is a nice neighborhood but it is no where near the most expensive.

In Toronto a house like that costs millions of dollars. They are probably paying alot of interest, and definitely alot of tax. What's wrong with being rich tho? His dad works hard to provide for his family and that's what gave Henry the freedom to move to Korea and chase his dreams. You guys trying to make it seem like this family isn't rich is so ridiculous. Not everyone needs a rags to riches story.

He said he grew up in that house, so it's at lease over 20 years old. His parents probably don't have a mortgage anymore so that gives them some financial freedom, but this house is middle class, especially considering when it was bought. Also, this house is in North York, a suburb of Toronto. My parents bought a house in this same neighborhood for 200k back in the day because it was all empty land, like farm land with nothing around. Now that it's a good area, the houses grew in value as well.

Big houses aren't a signifier of the value of the house, where your house is located is more important. You can have a big house in Canada without it being too expensive, but you can have a 1M dollar small house. Your land value is more important than the house.
