Oh dear, the man is old now. But he played a crucial role in the overthrow of Nkrumah. He had every power to defuse the plan. He knows that he is guilty. As a result, denied Africa the freedom that ut so much needed. The man had a personal vendetta with Nkrumah, hence agreed to participate & made sure that the coup doesn't fail... just quoting his own words. Please African brothers & sister.... these are lessons ought to be learned. An agreement among the people of Africa must be reached to unite against the common enemy.

A U.S. National Security Council memo from Robert Komer to McGeorge Bundy appraised the situation:[43] McGB- FYI, we may have a pro-Western coup in Ghana soon. Certain key military and police figures have been planning one for some time, and Ghana’s deteriorating economic condition may provide the spark. The plotters are keeping us briefed, and State thinks we’re more on the inside than the British. While we’re not directly involved (I’m told), we and other Western countries (including France) have been helping to set up the situation by ignoring Nkrumah’s pleas for economic aid. The new OCAM (Francophone) group’s refusal to attend any OAU meeting in Accra (because of Nkrumah’s plotting) will further isolate him. All in all, looks good. RWK - Robert W. Komer, Memorandum to McGeorge Bundy, 27 May 1965[44]

He’ll not be even remembered as a nation wrecker. History will forget about them just like sand being scattered in the wind but the name Nkrumah shall continue to live and outlive us all.

Deku was rather head of the Criminal Investigations Department and not the Special Branch.

I don’t think you know more than the man himself. Mr. Know it all!

@MissTraudie Unlike most people, I do a lot of research so I know what I'm talking about.

Mr.Deku, you are guilty as judas. You wickedly gave Nkrumah and Ghana's progress up for your selfish gain. Nkrumah trusted you. A stab in the dark.

This man is so guilty as an accomplice in the treachery against Nkrumah and the first Republic. Till date, those who did that subversive act consistently defend the basis for which they acted. Mr. Deku as we see in this interview feels uncomfortable answering some of the questions Mr Pratt asked him. The NLC was a total joke. History has already judged these ignoramuses who replaced Nkrumah.
