Hot Rods at Arlington 16/9/87

9 жыл бұрынSo this is lifted from a Doral Video VHS tape. It is 16/9/87. This is the last race that Barry Lee drove at Arlington. An amazing battle with 302/306/351. I was there and was convinced it was for the lead. The action was so intense that I failed to notice that Steve Burgess had disappeared up the road! In fact another notable thing about this race is it might be the last time a MK2 Escort won a titled Hot Rod race - just a thought.
As far as I know you should still be able to get the whole meeting on DVD from Martin Hunt.

George Polly colours has been mauve for years - due to G.W Bridges sponsor, but can any one tell me if I remember correct, that when he started out he drove a Dark Green Anglia.
