I worked on this film and the sequel and had a great time. I was a crew member on the aircraft carrier and on the sequel I was a prisoner of war. The aircraft carrier was built of wood on top of the bluff at the old Marineland park in Palos Verdes. The ship was around 10 ft in height and was full length and it gave the perspective of being in the open sea even though we were a couple hundred feet above the shoreline. Lloyd Bridges was hilarious in both films.

@@LegendsofPodcasting The older actors were great. I had the privilege to work with many of them before they passed away. Most were very polite and personable and didn't have ego issues like some new actors do. Some of the ones I worked with on different shows were Angela Lansbury, Elizabeth Montgomery, Andy Griffith, Leslie Nielsen, Gregory Peck, Mary Tyler Moore, Kenny Rogers, Adam West and Robin Williams.

The best scene was in part deux. He was giving a dinner speech and says his tongue is dry. “This isn’t my tongue. Lost mine in Laos. Got it chopped clean off by a little commy. It’s probably a doorstep now. Got this one from a Bassett hound” and then starts lapping his water. I pmsl every single time. Brilliant he was 🤣🤣
