Great video.. I am learning to make my own lead jigs .. struggling to get hit foil to stick you make it so easy I’ve got quality foil because I’ve bought it of you on eBay .. does it only work if you primmer the lures properly like you show in the video ?

Yes, you need to apply primer first, especially on lead lures. The key is to reach the right temperature and to apply enough pressure. The pressure from your toaster might not be enough. You can just heat up the silicone pad there, take it out and press it against the lure outside the toaster applying a lot more pressure.

You can use any brand of primer, just make sure it is a primer for non-ferrous metals, this means copper, aluminium, lead etc. Look them up online, there are many available brands.

A coat of water based varnish on the foil first, then paint over it.

That was the slowest, most painful video to watch . At that speed you will be over taken and crushed by a glacier. You could easily have cut 10 minutes Shit I left when you were urging it in , I came back from the kitchen with snacks just in time to watch the power light come on .
