On this adventure, I head out to a frozen lake with ‪@NWoutdoorsadventures‬ and Nate to do some Ice fishing for the very first time! We used the Nordic-Legend Aurora Lodge Ice Shelter which can be equipped with a wood stove. The hot tent is massive with 115 sqft of space! We stayed very warm in our hot tent and saw temps reach upwards of 80F (26C). Winter Hot tenting on Ice was a new experience for me and being that I am new to ice fishing I was very nervous to get out on the ice for the first time.

Thank you for that Kenny 👋 Couple of lil ice fishing tips,when unsure of ice thickness,you should walk separately from each other in case of trouble. An ice spud used to "sound" the ice will (with experience) tell you how safe the ice is. Ice pics are never a bad idea and at least one length of rope can't hurt either. I'm glad you had fun and hope you go again when the fish are cooperating. Thank you for sharing. Til our next adventure. So greatly appreciate your tips my friend!! A spud bar sounds like a must! Never can be too cautious. I feel as if I might of been a bit too comfortable on that ice in some spots and now that I think about it, that’s not good. Things can change in one single step on the ice! More research and gear! LUCKY! You are on 'rotting' ice. When liquid water is on top of the ice, the ice deteriorates very fast. The ambient was well above freezing. What helped you was the thickness of the ice! Next time, close the windows so it is dark inside and you can look into the water and see the fish swimming around - if there are any.

What a fun adventure for this week! I had a good laugh watching you sled down that hill.. Lol. I have fished that lake years and years ago in the summer I believe. Aren't we lucky to have so many to choose from around here? Back in the 1950's, my grandpa would pile my mom and her siblings up in the car and actually drive out on Fernan when it was iced over. Ok, so no fish for Kenny today. Like the soup nazi on Seinfeld, "no fish for you!" I had high hopes you were going to get something. One day your ship will come in. You made some nice friends and had a good time. You should have picked up a few white fish before at the deli and put them on the hook and pulled them out of the hole. I've been waiting for over a year for my friend Kenny to catch a fish. I really enjoy your videos though! They are so enlighting and entertaining. Your honesty is refreshing. God Bless my friemd. I just wanted to say that in todays world is so dark like most movies about evil things or killing yes you could argue that they do deal with real life but i sure most people miss the wholesome movies anyways your vlogs are light shinning in a dark world thank you.
