Hot Tent Snow Camping In Old Growth Forest | Wood Stove Cheese Steak

Күн бұрынOn this adventure I went hot tent snow camping in old growth forest. I've always wanted to hot tent camp here in the snow. Many of the trees are hundreds of years old and hundreds of feet tall. The forest gives off an eerie vibe but it is absolutely stunning to see. It snowed almost non stop the entire trip and temperatures stayed around 23 F (-5 C). I cooked up some delicious cheese steak sandwiches on the wood stove for dinner and had scrambled eggs for breakfast. Before I packed up I got to play around with the Dwarf Telescope made by TinyScope. It worked surprisingly well and I can't wait to use it somewhere with an actual view. I hope you enjoy the beautiful forest in this video!

I have too many chronic health issues to be able to do this, but in another lifetime, I would love to live this way. Thanks for sharing such peace and hard work for those of us that aren’t able to participate any other way. Like others, helps me to go to sleep. 👌🏼

I can’t imagine anything more satisfying than hiking into a site, working hard to set up then relaxing, dry and warm, with a hot meal, while watching the snow fall.

I love your videos for a lot of reasons. One in particular is how you let us experience the same things you are experiencing; the same sounds and views. No unnecessary 'verbal- jabber'. No useless, obnoxious, and completely unnecessary 'music' dubbed in.... we hear, see, and what you are experiencing. Reminds me of the time I did similar up in Spokane Wa during Air Force survival training. Spent 3 days during the Thanksgiving weekend. That was about 40yrs ago. I actually miss it. Great video. Nice & quiet, no people noise or annoying music.

Yes, me. I’m going through a horrendous amount of stress atm, but watching these types of wild camping videos does ease it somewhat. I’m planning my own wild/stealth camping trip soon. I’m from the UK & wild camping is illegal in most areas.

A cheese steak is so good that it's easily worth doing everything you see here. The cold, the snow, and the cheese steak as the reward. I used to snow camp when I was a kid out in the Pine Barrens - it was worth it! Thanks for a great watch!

А тебя не удивили то, что человек такое ощущение в походы то и не ходил? Вот прям чувство, что он от дома отходит на 500 метров. Без топора, но с бесполезной пилой. Поставил палатку, снег не убрал и уже мокрая жопа.. Да там везде странные решения и кромешный пиздец. 70% веса в рюкзаке это порожняк, это самое страшное.

I live in UK there's not much to fear when camping. Possibly trees falling, drunk people or forgetting the marshmallows lol So glad this was recommended, completely chilled me out in bed while ill and now subscribed. Such a massive inspiration to get out there and explore

While the tent, stove and dwarf telescope may steal the show, that Theram-a-Rest cot is something under appreciated. The fact that it gets you off the ground in conditions like this, plus doubles as a table, is far more valuable than people realize. The Helinox chair too. (I work in the outdoor industry, btw.)

Never had any chance for camping. But I love this cause no shouting no gathering no peaple around. So peaceful. But it had to be before marriage, after marriage it’s not possible. I just love this kind of life

@@rydic палатка с дырками и прочее , я просто рад что там было всего -4с =) Иначе бы он отъехал с такой экипировкой =)
