Hot to Get Your Art Into A Museum
Step 1. Research Museums and pick six within an hour of your studio
Step 2. Identify curators and call one and ask for a 10 minute Zoom studio visit.
Step 3. Make a proposal (or three) for different exhibits and ask for venues where it could be shown.
Step 4. Follow up with a short museum proposal
Step 5. Male a mock-up or fly-through of the exhibit for your proposal.
Step 6. Negotiate the exhibit

Thanks so much for this. I love the breakdown of locate, connect and share the ideas. I have recently booked a museum exhibition show in Ontario, Canada, after having been out of the province and country for years…now I am taking the opportunity to introduce myself to other museums in the area. The suggestion to be brief and genuine is great! …I can tend to want to explain Everything when it’s not necessary or helpful to do so.
