The head sculpt is ridiculous. This is one of the best I have seen. The Deluxe set is a must have. They didn’t just re-issue this. They went back and made some improvements! Thanks to you and Ryan for this one.

I'm glad to see Hot Toys remaking some of the old figures because it is good for the people who missed out for whatever reason. I'm hoping HT remakes the Terminator 1 and 2 line.

All day long the cape looks like its may be made of the same material from Knightmare Batman 2.0 which is AWESOME. Can't wait!

Great video! Love your channel. I just noticed Sideshow has this listed as 11.8 inches tall. The original is 12.5 inches tall. Really hope they don't make him smaller and that's a mistake.

I’m hoping hot toys takes a shot with Affleks new suit. It would be awesome to have the first blue and grey suit in live action in the collection!

Awesome preview! There's a bit of a misconception, though... The fit and texturing of the '89 costume and cowl were completely intentional choices by Burton and the designer. They wanted the suit and cowl to have a slightly homemade, unrefined quality, as if he was still figuring things out a bit. The tighter fit and cleaner finish of the Returns suit was meant to illustrate that evolution, and also play into the "sexier" vibe of that movie.

This new version of Batman is going to fit just fine alongside my DX08 (didn't come cheap in 2023). I've recently starting with all this HT collecting stuff and the price of the DX09 is just going haywire atm. I'm really glad that I have a chance to complete my Batman 1989 collection for standard retail pricing. That base looks awesome btw!

If only they would reissue the Batman Returns suit. It's still my favorite batsuit and I don't want to pay over $1k for the original figure.

Something’s off with the likeness. It does look like Keaton, but not quite there for some reason. The sculpt is very very good, tho. Maybe it’s just the steep lighting. It looks like he has a cleft chin with that much shadow.

Man they nailed it with this one for me . Only thing I'm torn on is if they do the new Flash movie Batman I'll have to go with it cause I have focused on the Snyderverse figures . As always love the reviews.

Hope someone comes along to offer a better cape again.... Anybody know what happened to Tony Mei? His custom capes were unreal. They properly mimicked the heavy curtain drape effect of the movie. Looks like Hot Toys still hasn't got it right... unbelievable.

I cancelled my pre order for the Battinson because I had started to lose the interest in that figure and that Batman in general. But this Batman has always been one of my favorites. I grew up watching 1989 Batman and 1992 Batman Returns. I told myself that the one Batman figure I WOULD own is this. And although I knew they were teasing one, I didn’t know whether or not they’d actually release it. And then all of a sudden the flash trailer drops and here’s this amazing figure staring at me. So it’s settled. I’ve pre ordered this figure and this WILL be the Batman I get. For those wondering why I don’t still get the Battinson, although that was a great movie and actually more accurate to Batman than even the 1989 was, the 1989 hits closer to home and feeds me nostalgia too. And that’s exactly what this figure will do. Can’t wait to get this!

Does the batmobile come with that awesome gravel tarmac diorama base

I doubt they’ll make the new version. I think they’re not going to do anything with another DC Film until the new slate. I believe we will get the Shazam they were teasing last time but that’s it. Hope I’m wrong though.

This looks great overall! If I had to nitpick, the belt isn't the right color (it should be more of a metallic gold and not the same bright yellow as the chest bat emblem) and I'm not so sure about that smiling faceplate. It's a bit awkward, like a forced smile for a family portrait. 😄 The cape material sounds like a win.

With the huge response JazzInc has received for the 89 Batmobile in the past 2 weeks I'm sure they're going to produce a Bat Computer of their own. Hot Toys knows they can't compete in the vehicle and accessory department. Plus the costs would be huge if they were to attempt it.

This one looks completely different in the BEST way possible… this is probably 99.9% accurate.

As someone who has 89 props and a life size keaton. This one is by far perfect , Justin is right , he has more wrinkles on his face, which gives him that look, because the Cowl was basically smashing his face in. The lips , and everything else is on point . The Cape about time, none of this pleather nonsense. As much as I hate re-issues, this one is all brand, new, and they must pick up. I am really hoping for the bat computer.

With this gargoyle diorama base, What we need to complete the storytelling element is to have a battle damaged Jack Nicholson Joker (with blooded mouth), and a additional head sculpt of the deceased Joker showing a slightly flattened face with the laughing sound recorder in the little green pouch as an added accessories. Make it sound playable. And include the Bat Computer please. This unassuming backdrop seems to be a unexpected hit. Come on surprise us Hot Toys.

If they make the computer. You can always but the 92 Bruce Wayne figure in the chair.

Have you guys seen the photo of the Hottoys Morden suit Batman from the Flash movie ? I’m wanting to get my first hottoys figure but can’t decide between 89 or the morden one 🤔

It looks good but the only thing that's making me not PO him is that I wished they gave him the unmasked Keaton head. I may change my mind at some point but so far I'm going to pass for now. Thanks for sharing 👍

I love this but I would’ve rather we get some of the other characters from this series than rereleases. Vicki Vale, Knox, Max Shrek, The Penguin, Alfred, Commissioner Gordon, Catwoman, Selina Kyle, Bruce Wayne.

I’ve watched a lot about this release. I have the original and from photos there’s pros and cons. Head sculpt and texture of the cowl are amazing but the cape doesn’t look as good and the old one. Buuuut the drape of it is so much better. Want that Dorian’s tho. Look out eBay ha ha

Arghh. Just got a second Dx19! One to go in the upcoming Jazzinc 89 Batmobile other for display. Not as upset about HT Mobile 2.0 because as I said. Maybe my other fig should go in a - Batwing... And this deluxe one does look great. And the computer!! And I need to steal someone's wallet...

I think Hot Toys should've used a full silicone body for this to make it a legit 2.0. Since the suit is black, just cast the silicone in black. Metal endoskeleton, à la TBLeague and presto, awesome articulation AND, it can hold poses.

The likeness on the DX09 borders on perfection. It's one of those portraits that Hot Toys nailed right out of the gate. I wouldn't say that this betters the DX09's likeness, but is at a similarly excellent level, and most of this is down to the extra detail in the sculpts and paint apps, though I do prefer the expressions on the DX09 faceplates - the bloodied face here wears the expression of someone who's had Catwoman sit on him and then stick a "claw" in him. This portrait makes him look a little older vs the DX09's more fresh faced appearance. I will be adding this to my DX09 and look forward to seeing how much better it will pose, and hopefully hold them, and much better the cape should be. Hot Toys look to be in fine form with both this and Bane 2.0.

Just a odd question: can you survive without both kidneys or is that lethal? Cause I’m really desperate to grab both the Batmobile and 2.0…
