Hey man I love the video, I’m in your boat it’s my first full figure from announcement to release that I’ll have! It’s what got my first figure (clone wars palps) now I’m 6 figures deep with 4 on pre order including both of these darth sidious and I managed to track down the first palpatine! (He is my favourite character) I loved you video though man I’ll be subscribing!

Yeah there’s just something special about that CW Palps I remember seeing it and thinking “this is the coolest shit I’ve ever seen” because that scene in TCW goes so hard. I try to speak on figures from the perspective of the average collector. I think a lot of us see people who have a whole room to allot to their collection and for some that just isn’t feasible. Again, thanks a lot. 🫡

@@DarthTamarus it truly does go hard, palpatine during the clone wars era is at the top of his game and manipulations and it’s amazing! Honestly I’m having a hard time waiting for it despite only being a few more months wait! Lol as for the episode 3 one I’m not sure how I’ll possibly wait that long haha. I’m honestly picky in my pre-orders (trust me I want so many 55 to be exact) but for financial reasons I only have three in pre-order rn, but I may add another when my first figures payment plan is done! Just keep it a small revolving door of pre orders haha (thrawn, sidious, sidious and jack sparrow are my current ones! But clone wars is paid off so I didn’t count him!)

@@curtisboothe1763 Very good idea to keep yourself grounded. I feel like this hobby can get overwhelming in terms of things you want and money you end up spending. I have 5 on PO. Kenobi Vader (which is paid off aside from shipping), CW Sidious, CW Obi-Wan, Thrawn and Darth Revan. Every week I cross my fingers and hope nothing else I need gets announced yet 😂

I preordered the clone wars Palpatine. It’s almost paid off. At this point I feel like the clone wars Palpatine is more versatile because I can display it as Chancellor Palpatine or Dart Sidious. The newer one is super creepy and is pretty scary looking. I like it but my family said no to it.

I think they realized That Star Wars is a cash cow even in bad times. Fans will love the 6 movies and animated shows forever and in times where Marvel is finished and no Movies are around the corner, they have the chance to revisit Star Wars

You hit the nail right on the head dude. I’m glad Star Wars is getting all of this love. Especially being a newer collector. Everything definitely makes you think about what you want vs what you NEED.

@@malekith8447 Only time will tell. I hope they announce that 2.0 ROTS Anakin this year like they did this Sidious. That’s probably my most desired figure in terms of a 2.0. As per the Acolyte, psh. Not my Star Wars personally, but I hope they come through with something for those who would like to collect from it.

@@DarthTamarus Everyone and their mother wants that Anakin 2.0. I mean the figure is already there. The Artisan with rooted hair. Its just a matter of time. And I have no issue with Displaying him besides my Cw Anakin

@@malekith8447 I think if I were to have two versions of anakin, those would be what I would choose. Don’t need the AOTC Anakin personally although it is quite remarkable.

Personally, I prefer the clone wars version of Sidious. Like you said that scene in the show was amazing and it’s not often that you see Palpatine wielding a light saber before being disfigured, especially two lightsabers.

Very good point. I think I’m swayed towards the CW version being superior to this recent announcement. At least in terms of uniqueness. Can’t wait to get it. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts 🫡😎

I think the two Sidious are both very different. One is deformed and from ROTS and the other one is for Clone Wars collectors. I mainly collect the Movie versions. For me Episode 3 is the definitive Obi Wan but I picked up the limited Obi Wan as I really liked that arc from the Clone Wars. I will eventually get the ROTS one if they will ever do a 2.0. It all comes down to your preference and space. I think the definitve Palps is the ROTJ in the chair but I like the ROTS one too as it is my favourite movie. After all it’s a hobby and you should enjoy it. I don’t want to wait 6 years until my favourite version is around the corner and if you like the ROTS more, Cancel the CW Sidious and get the ROTS. I would rather lose 25 bucks than be unhappy with my figure.

Very good points. I’m still excited about the CW Sidious. I don’t have any plans of canceling. We’ll see how things look down the road. Also I agree; the ROTS Obiwan is definitely the definitive for me too. If they were to announce a 2.0, I’d definitely pick it up. Definitely some trying times for collectors lol. Hard to not want everything.

@@DarthTamarus I would rather have a few versions of Obi Wan or Anakin, than Paz Vizsla or a random side character from the Mandalorian.

@@malekith8447 Oh 100%. Some people have all three versions of Din Djarin and I’m like I don’t even like that character lol though I think the OG durasteel version looks the coolest. I try to collect either what I truly love or what I think is too cool to pass on. Cad Bane, Umbra trooper for example.

@@DarthTamarus I like the Umbra Trooper. And it’s exclusive what makes the figure Even more desirable. Same goes for Obi Wan. Very niche but elevates your collection to a new level. Yes Same for me. I don’t collect one line. Pre ordered Darth Revan as he looks badass and is a very interesting character (I think he will be canon one day)
