Hot Toys Padmé Amidala | Is It Just “Good Enough?”

Take a look at the recent blogger photos of Padmé Amidala from Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. Is this figure as good as it could have been or does it leave much to be desired. Here are my thoughts.

I have a feeling you already bought it or will. It's going to be tougher to find now because it's waitlisted. No figure is 100%. But if you're willing to wait a couple years, we might get another.

I’m not saying it’s a bad figure. I’m tempted but I’m really not one to buy something in fear of not getting another. If this were battle damaged, or just another outfit that wasn’t so scene specific I’d go for it. But I think it will only look it’s best paired with AOTC Anakin, which I will not be getting. Space is a limited commodity for me as is justifiable purchases. Jealous of those that don’t have to be so picky though. Thanks for watching & sharing your thoughts. 🫡🤙

I can relate to the strict boundaries of being picky, due to space limitations. It's one of the reasons why I no longer buy 3rd party figures. I'm glad it's that reason and not because you demand perfection from every release. What are examples of 10/10 figures in your collection? I can only think of 2 of all HT releases, by today's standards: Robocop and DX15 Jack Sparrow. Inart moved the needle. It's now moved the goal post too far for standard release HTs at this price point.

@@nonametofame yeah I would agree. It’s up to us subjectivity to decide what’s good enough to buy. Hopefully they take the memo and start using better quality materials in their figures. For example real leather but I doubt it. Hell sculpted plastic is better than pleather boots lol.

I agree. Had they made her the battle damaged option, that would have been cool but they played it safe.

Yeah, there's something ever so slightly off about her face. Probably around the eye area. Meh.

Hard to put my finger on what about it is off. But I agree. Obviously you can tell who it’s supposed to be but it’s just one of those figures that wasn’t a super accurate sculpt. Not bad just not great.
