Well look im not going to really say a bad comment like most people would, because im not immature like that but I honestly thought that what mainstreams meant. Because iv never been told that a heavy band can be mainstream, doesn't make sense to me. But ok, thanks for making learn something new :)

Sorry I was high as hell last night haha. Heavy music is not considered mainstream no more. it was considered mainstream 20 years ago but 20 years from now has changed. How is heavy music considered mainstream when it doesn't even get radio play or anything? Heavy music isn't mainstream.

I wouldn't say they're "fucking up". If anything, their varying their music base to get more people into them. They still have their hardcore bands like Memphis May Fire, Miss May I, Sleeping With Sirens, Attack Attack, Scarlet O'Hara. But now they even get different genres like these guys, Sharks, and bands like that. If anything, Rise is upping the Ante by not being a one-genre label.

Oh hell no, Metal is so much different now compared to the past. An I have to say thank you for saying rap and hip hop are terrible genres, because their horrible! Ill just research it or something and find out about it.

That's okay...But It doesn't have to be played on the radio.They're are so many heavy bands that have similar sounds .Mainstream is just a genre of music that all sounds similar....

All agree with you for the most part. Yeah, Rise has been known for the more hardcore stuff. But how I see it, is Rise is going to make a huge uprising soon with what they're doing with the label. They want their fans to be more open to various types of music.This might sound mainstream to you, because most bands that sound like this ARE mainstream, but maybe Rise is trying to give the sound some respect back? I think Rise is the only label capable of doing that.

I don't know if it's Rise trying to give the sound some respect because any record label can be capable of doing that if they want, but they don't wanna make big risks like that, but obviously Rise does. It's not a bad thing to me that they wanna change some things, Im just not into the same Rise that I was into a couple years back when they still had heavy bands here.I dont really know what Rise does, but im sure there doing it for a reason, I still dig the record label, just not as much.

Haha, but I have a question. Metal is not that popular and most people don't really like it as much as other music out there like, rap, hip hop, etc. People consider rap and hip hop mainstream because pretty much everyone likes it. Not that many people like Metal in this world of ours, so how is heavy music considered Mainstream still when not that many people like it you know?

I guess but still, Rise use to be just all about heavy music, wouldn't you want that to keep going? If all, I think it might just distract people from this record label now because that's not how Rise was before, and Rise got there attention from Hardcore bands, not mainstream bands like this one. Don't get me wrong, I listen to some mainstream bands, and there good, but that's not what Rise is. Rise is about heavy music.If you want mainstream, go to a label in HW where all the big names are

You don't even know what mainstream means, so stop repeatedly saying it. If it something was heavy and had Screaming it can be mainstream. Mainstream is when something is known by tons of people, i'm pretty rise can't be considered mainstream, not since it's full of heavy bands like this, but since not many know about as you'd think.

Im not sure about that, rock and metal music isn't like how it is like in the 80s and 90s, and now most people like terrible genres like rap and pop. I'm not sure about that, a little research should help you out with that.

The reason I "threw the Nickelback card", was because I actually think they sound like them, not because they are shit, but because in my opinion, they do. Worse band on Rise Records. I made a comment on a status they had saying that they sucked and someone told me to "go listen to That's Outragous." Really? At least they dont sound like this bullshit.
