what did you use to strip the plastic base? Ive used Purple Power cleaner with mild success. It seemed to soften the plastic.

There's something about that truck that's really cool Lee. Straight from the packet, it just looked stupid but getting rid of that plasticky metal colour and those daft engines really helped. The cab is a fantastic shape, almost like it has swept back ears.😁 I'd love to see one converted to a flatbed, something "everyday" like a coal truck. There's a lot of possibilities with a casting like that, just not what HW did with it. Was the Paint it Pink "planet" a dog's ball in a former life? 😁 Your showcase photo was lovely and, like you said, it did trigger my sense of smell, as well as the more obvious senses. I had it as a warm day, with little wind, and the sound of a distant tractor in the field.👌 It looks like Paint it Pink is going to be a major event this year - a great achievement for a worthy cause. I wonder if anyone will beat Marty's result from last year? I hope so. 👍👌😁 Cheers for now, Dougie.
