Absolutely. My mattresses are never without a protective covering. Especially my guest room. On that protects against allergens and dust mites, and bed bugs!

I prefer a duvet as well and found through the years to always use an insert that is larger than the cover to give a taut and fluffy look much like a pillow and I use the burrito method to change cover makes it easier. Great job !!

Great advice. I’m renovating a OLD home in a small, quaint village in Italy. It is a major project, but I’m most inspired by my bedroom. I have a bedroom with beautiful views of the mountains and sea. It inspires me to make the bedding very luxurious, but classic. My friends will need to walk through my bedroom to access the terrace. Hence the need to keep the bedroom always pulled together. I also like the hotel style of a capsule effect because it speaks volumes to cleanliness, tranquility, and understated luxury. I just recently discovered the Casaluna lune at Target and I'm absolutely obsessed..even tho I live the "Neutral" linen look, I also love their "CLAY" color so I got a sheet set, big throw blanket in the clay and come spring I plan on getting the linen duvet as well..love love this line!!🖤🖤

Remember making a toe pleat at the foot? I was telling a younger nurse about that the other day. Lol. How there were no fitted sheets so we used one day’s top sheet as the next day’s bottom and we tied a knot behind the mattress at top and bottom to keep the sheet tight. I had an instructor tell stories of physician who would walk the wards and try to bounce a quarter on the beds.

Love your style. I want to mention that Macy's Hotel Collection is a must see. It's more expensive but for me totally worth it as we've gotten a lot of use from their bedding and accessories. My friends describe our bedrooms as NYC Hotel chic

I originally saw a linen duvet on Parachute, the room and the bed looked so comfortable that I would never get up. I saw the linen set at Target I bought the natural color for a more earthy feel. After one night I went back and bought everything Casaluna to redo my whole bedroom. I wanted a natural earthy space with soft linens and cozy blankets. The linen duvet with the midweight comforter is just right. Love this line. Now I just want to stay in bed forever. Great video!

If you want a close to perfect mattress to sleep on and can afford it, invvest in a matress that is shipped in a box to your home. Take the box to your bedroom. As soon as its unpacted it will turn into a matress that is thick and comfortable. Pricy, but its the best mattress Ive ever slept on, and Im 64. I love it. Not to firm, not to soft, but perfect. The name brand is Casper.

I totally agree with the King comforter on a Queen bed. I just upgraded my down comforter and bought a King size! I live in Canada so no Target for me. I found a great comforter at Costco. (Royal Lux). I also have just discovered silk pillowcases….wow! They are so wonderful to sleep on and some have zipper closure so no pillow end sticks out. My Mom had me start using silk pillowcases when I was little actually because they are excellent for hair care, especially curly hair! They also help keep skin clear, too

I do all of this with one exception, I have a cover that I place over the sheets when folding my duvet at the bottom, exposing the same color as my pillowcase covers. Very well done!

The difference between how we make the bed in the UK and USA is so interesting. I honestly have no idea what the 'flat sheet' that you used over the fitted be sheet is for. I also didn't know there was anything other than a duvet! I'd not heard about a 'comforter' until I met my Philadelphian husband 🤣 In the UK we typically have a matress protector, bed sheet (that you sleep on), a duvet with a duvet cover on, and pillows.

I grew up always having a full sheet set, so I carried that into my adulthood. I never use the flat sheet so it felt like a waste, but I kept buying them because it was engraved. One day it clicked-I’m a grownup! 😂😂 No more flat sheets for me! I’ve always used a comforter, but now I want to transition to the duvet life.

I love the white sheets, I usually buy the Egyptian cotton 1500 to 1800 thread count. I also love floral comforters and quilts sets. I also use a mattress cover and it makes the bed so soft and cozy. Beautifully done bed. It's very pretty and inviting.

I bought shredded memory foam pillows last year. I’ve had two cervical spine surgeries so my pillows usually get changed every six months. Not any more! They are amazing! Quality, luxury and divine comfort! Well worth the price.

Thanks for all the tips, here's one for you: When you buy a pillow at the thrift store, no matter if it's with or without a cover, throw it into the dryer on high heat for at least 10 minutes and it should kill any bugs and ickies. I also wash but that's up to you. Thanks again! Love your style!

I would just wash the pillow in a front loader, gets rid of ALL the ickies. Can’t imagine just spraying it with only disinfectant spray and using it just like that. No one knows where they came from 😖

I have a tourmaline magnetic comforter from healthyline and ettitude bamboo bedding. Silk pillowcases are a must for hair and face.

Have you ever tried bamboo??? Oh I will never go back, also Cozy house have elastic sewn in the edges for a deep pocket fit, they are so comfortable, I have had some very nice Egyptian cotton and they do feel good, but the bamboo is temp regulating and also they have the BEST weighted blankets with bamboo duvet that comes with and they tie off around the comforter, it is so cathartic. Great video!

Your so right about clarity, took a while for me to find it at a local target, but it’s surely amazing I got the room spray linen spray and candle…I’m obsessed. I got the casaluna temperature sheets and linen heavyweight comforter in rose color. Also got a rose colored silk canaluna pillow case a rose casaluna linen pillow, I found 26” down euro pillows at TJ Maxx, I got a lumbar pillow from Marshall’s! I am super happy with all the tips I got from you my bed is amazing!! bTW the casaluna lightweight down comforters are 70% off in clearance at Target it’s being discontinued.
