This hotel is an affordable gem, perfect for exploring the city’s attractions. My daughter recommended it due to its proximity to subway stations and key points of interest.
My journey from Kofu to Tokyo was aided by a helpful staff member at Kofu train station. Following her guidance, I boarded the JR express to Shinjuku station, smoothly transferring to the Oedo Line, finally arriving at Kuramae station. The bustling Shinjuku station became manageable with clear signage and station staff guidance.
Exiting from A7, I proceeded towards the bridge, managing my luggage up the stairs as I didn't initially locate an elevator. Although the ascent was challenging, the unforgettable sight of Tokyo Skytree against the clear sky upon emerging from Kuramae station made the experience truly memorable.
Crossing the bridge, the hotel's sign atop the building came into view on the left. The discreetly positioned elevator and an inviting Indian restaurant on the first floor added to the welcoming atmosphere.
Arriving earlier than check-in, the efficient front desk staff swiftly accommodated my process despite the hourly early check-in fee. Opting for a room with a Tokyo Skytree view was worth it, capturing stunning pictures both day and night. The cozy room included a comfortable bed, a spotless bathroom, Wi-Fi, a mini-fridge, microwave, and a work table, offering ample space.
During my stay, I explored both Asakusa Sensō-ji Temple and Tokyo Skytree on foot. Procuring a ticket for both the Tembo Deck and Gallery at the Skytree offered awe-inspiring panoramic views, particularly captivating for photography enthusiasts.
A tip: Visiting Sensō-ji temple in the morning around 8-8:30 AM helps avoid crowds for better photography opportunities. The hotel’s proximity to Tokyo Skytree and Sensō-ji Temple, along with numerous nearby restaurants, makes it an ideal choice.
Nearby, there's a Seven Eleven convenience store across the road. While I didn’t explore much on the left side, several eateries and stores are visible after crossing the bridge.
Despite the room's size, considering the hotel's affordability, close proximity to subway stations, Sensō-ji temple, and Skytree, I highly recommend Hotel Mystays Asakusa for future stays. Useful Links:
