I love and hate how perfectly everything represents how much this guy is tired. The way he slowly reloads his gun in the beginning, the way he literally spares a person who could kill him, the way this soundtrack sounds, as if every enemy he kills echoes with tiredness, and, if you think about it, it kinda sounds like heartbeat

It’s important to keep in mind that while it was a brutal and disheartening death, there wasn’t any other way for it to happen. Henchman wasn’t an innocent man, he’s killed an untold amount of people, and every choice he ever made led him to meeting the fans. Such is the cost of violence.

I think that his phrase about the urge to "go home" might resemble how he was desperately trying to escape his past criminal life and yet failed to do so by dying both literally and metaphorically. In his dream, we can see him driving away from the city/crime, ready to start a new life, only to hear about the incoming storm (death) and realize that he was going in circles by not taking matters into his own hands earlier, followed by his girlfriend's treachery and him resorting to ease the pain with drugs, making the final roundabout to his demise.

I literally finished a match of Insurgency Sandstorm in character as the Hitman at the exact second of the completion of the song by stutter stepping a corner and quick drawing my suppressed eagle for a smooth, no ads double tap. I deeply appreciate your version of this song, everything synced up perfectly.
