My niece married her son, so about 4 years ago i had a chance to meet Lorrie: I asked her about this song, I said. "Lorrie, when you sang Don't Worry Baby with The Beach Boys you seemed to be having so much fun, what made you so happy?" Lorrie said, they were so sweet, they thought we were the stars and yet, they were the big stars, the music is so beautiful and I was so honored to sing with them backing me up." one of her favorite memories. and yes I like this better than any version of this song. I would love to hear her sing more of their songs.

I really love this version of "Don't Worry Baby" Lorrie Morgan just knocks it out of the park with her vocal and The Beach Boy harmonies are spot on as usual. It's a perfect pairing. I can play it over and over again and never get tired of it.

She was SO beautiful that it was easy to dismiss her as eye candy and underestimate her vocals, but IMO she was always one of the very best female vocalists in country music. There was a handful from that era, when Lorrie was in her prime, who could take any song and knock it out of the park, and Lorrie Morgan was absolutely one of them.

This song always brings me back to 1964/65 when I was 10 yrs. old and when our neighbor, Lilly, played this song over and over all night long -- she was depressed that her boyfriend, Johnny, was going off to some place called 'Vietnam' and we felt so bad/sad for her -- happy to report that Johnny made it back home ALIVE, they married and had a few kids and I still think of them when I hear this classic song.

I remember seeing the Beach Boys, live, in the Round, at Valley Forge Music Fair in the early 70's. No smoke, no fireworks, no lasers, just pure music from the original Beach Boys then. They sang every hit song for almost 2 hours, never taking a break. Ah, what memories!

I have seen Beach Boys live two times first in 1991 in Greve, Denmark and second time in 2011 in Piteå, Sweden... They are awesome in real life.... Lonnie Morgan performing one of their most icononic tunes just makes it a hole lot better.. Being 66yrs now just makes me appreciate BB a hole lot more...
