9 күн бұрынHere’s a Late Elementary piece for showing off at the piano, good for students who are ready for music that sounds more difficult than it is. The bass notes drive the energy. The right hand broken intervals are good for developing wrist rotation. When keys or chords are repeated, aim to keep them on the light side, because if they get too heavy they’ll steal the show. Levels: US, Late Elementary. AMEB, Level 1. ABRSM, 1. RCM, Level 2.

I had a lot of fun recording this number, choosing my Yamaha Clavinova rather than my acoustic piano. I picked E.Piano, church organ, hall 2, tremolo and medium. Notice the change in timbre with the increased key velocity. So much fun! Totally inspired by Daft Punk!

Thank-you, Amie! I thought I'd break out the fabulous sounds on my Yamaha Clavinova and might do this more often. I'm so inspired by Baroque composers lately and how they loved experimenting with sounds. My imagination goes to what they would have done with electronic keyboards and they would have LOVED them. My first love will always be the acoustic piano but I've been playing electronic keyboards, too, since I got my first Roland at the age of 13. It's SO FUN!
