The Jurassic world Koolasuchus level 4 skin and by extension the spiky subspecies is more so based on crested newts

I like how this mod was made to be realistic in a way, but still to be fun to play as, as if it was just the lumbering giant it really is, although very cool it wouldnt be fun to play.

Both the spiky species and the "koolaid" skin are a reference to koolasuchus in jurassic world the game(especifically its version when it goes to level 31-40)

This mod is not only bringing attention to a incredibly fascinating endangered animal but also packs in a lot of detail with the subspecies and references to old gaming beaver content along with real amphibian colorations and behaviors

I do think most salamanders look like axolotl’s as babies and loose there ear things as they transition to semi aquatic life styles . But axolotls stay fully aquatic

I said I wasn't a fan of MOST of their stuff, not ALL. Read. And while this mod was made for a good cause doesn't mean I personally like the mod myself. I still think its a stiff mess like most of their mods are upon release until they get worked on over time, like their Deino for example. I'm allowed to have an opinion, whether these mods are free or not. You're free to like DB stuff if you want, but not everyone shares your opinion, which is okay. So calm tf down.

The cavern skin is based off of the how to train your dragon race to the edge cavern crasher dragon which feeds on eggs It has poison mucus hide that ignites when it touches air

I honestly dont like Divine Beasts mods, they normally are unbalanced, way too many abilities (like right stomp, left stomp, right back stomp, left back stomp, etc etc.) That being said, the Giant Salamander actually looks good, the design isnt janky, the calls are cute, the attacks look good, the skins are pretty good. Actually worth a play.

I really don’t understand the point of adding a mod of an extant species in the game, it defeats the purpose of the game. I don’t meant to go flaming on the game or being negative on it, but if they’re gonna include a amphibian in a game then go for a larger extinct amphibian like Koolasuchus
