I switched off the default, Maximise Compatibility. No hotspot disconnect so far. Update 10/5/24 seldom disconnects now. That may be the cellular internet connection.

I don’t have internet and I play on my hotspot. I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max and the beginning it worked well perfectly. Then i noticed that my hotspot wouldn’t work if I had my LTE on it used to before. So now I have to be on 5G for my Hotspot to work. When my billing starts I have 20 GB’s and it gets me through the month no problems unless I don’t catch a download from my PlayStation. downloads are what gets me. But when I run out or when I’m low I add extra Gigs which is $5 for 2 gigs of Hotspot. But Those extra gigs run out so fast. And sometimes even when my Hotspot is off it runs out while it’s off which is pissing me off. Idk if my phone is bugged or something is going on with the my network?

Update to the ppl don’t understand the personal hotspot it different from the Wi-Fi cause the Wi-Fi gone stay connected personal hotspot will automatically disconnect if you ain’t using it for a couple of hours

None of these will help. It will automatically disconnect no matter you do every 1-3 hours. Even in a middle of download or a call. Stupid Apple, will buy Samsung next time.

Stop trying to prop apple up. Their products suck. I have never had connection issues until I owned an iPhone. The mobile data connection sucks versus android, allows your device to have unknown users accessing your microphone, speaker and camera, and also does not allow total control of how the phone scans for Bluetooth, telecommunication towers or wifi signals. Even if you turn off wifi-assist, your device will still passively interact with devices which gives away important data from cookies, GPS data and other sensor data. A user should never have issues with wifi hotspot, or lack control of the way the device's applications can still use the internet when mobile data is turned off and wifi is turned on. You cannot control the function between wifi and mobile data, which is suspicious and also provides applications to track users and hear their conversations.
