i always watched chinese drama series but this is the most i love. i watch it over and over. i love ms zhou dongyu acting and simplicity. forever love team fan of ms zhou dongyu and xu kai.

I love Houchi, she is smart and kind but loyal and fierce in her protectiveness. When she got the power she got the power :). And when she brought the bad guy to his knees and put the 'Princess' in her place I was like you go girl! Meanwhile Fengran is looking at Houchi like where'd you get all that power from suddenly :), she's bewildered but she just went with it. XiMu is standing there like that's my future baby mama for sure. :) This is a series that I come back to because the storyline, acting, costumes, pacing, just everything were all so good. It gave me characters I wanted to root for, especially Shagu/Houchi and Fengran and her prince. I wanted Tinchi to get a love interest and was hoping the Goddess who'd loved him would also come back to life and they could get together, alas that didn't happen. Just an awesome drama!

This drama is alright. It does have a lot of good exciting action scenes, humorous scenes and even sad ones. But, there are some parts I didn’t like when it came to deceit by friends and lovers and lying for their own selfish reasons. It could have been a lot better. I give in 7 stars out of 10.

They live for thousands of years yet cant learn to get rid of jealousy and greed. The princess is a fine example of one who should be destined to die for being given the powers of a god and yet the brain of a mouse.

Houchi attitute here is more like shan gu in the novel. Shang gu in the novel beside unbeatable, was also cold, indeferrent, and beauty whithout comparison.

Is this the Chinese version of Greek mythology? It is very cool to watch. They speak extremely fast for me to read and understand the subtitles. Watching this series from the begining would be probably more helpful. Inorder to get the background of the individual characters. Thank you for sharing this. 🕊️🙂

i just find these people despicable. even if a goddess is weak, as long as he/she did not do anything wrong, he/she deserves respect. Ziyuan is still cultivating, Jingzhao is just a princess, even after 10k years she hasn't climbed up the rank in cultivation. the power she has is only because of the golden umbrella given by her father. power aside, they both should be beaten till they are able to reverse this attitude.

The umbrella was given by her mother and I think Jingzhao is twenty thousand years old. She does have some magical power without the umbrella. And by the way, in this clip, she had her mothers fan. She will not get the umbrella until she tells her mother that Houchi was able to block it.

Sort of, this would have been a younger one as he had not yet ascended to higher god level, given that Houchi/Shangu Gu gave him an elixir as a gift later on that she refined herself that is supposed to help him ascend. In the other series, not directly related to this one ( Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms and Eternal Love of Dream), the Vengo Gao version of Dong Hua is already "retired" so that is the more senior, something 100K years old or more depending on the source one references.
