This might be a little esoteric but it is something which is pretty fundamental to rigging. This is one of the more difficult things to figure out how to do in Houdini and I do not know anyone who covers this. I am currently building some auto-rigging systems so I decided to put this out as I am using it a lot at the moment.

The first example you showed where you referenced the scene data was already a bonus! In spite of seeing this topic covered many times, I'm yet to see that technique!

OMG this video has helped me out after 1 week of struggle trying to calculate the total angular momentum of my fbx imported character!!! Thank you so much! Btw, which tool did you use to draw the vectors in the beginning? And, is there a faster way of setting the translates and rotates of the null directly to the world transform of the target? For example storing the matrix as a "local node variable" and then accessing its rotation/transl. parts in the corresponding expression editors?

The tool is clip studio paint. As for storing information on object level nulls, unfortunately this is very limited as you can only really store attributes on geometry. Now I would try to move things into sops as kinefx as it gives this functionality but there area still cases where you will need to work at object level and parameter references and expressions are the best option.
