What do you use as a primer? I have dry skin either ☺️

I agree. I use one pump for my whole face with a brush. And I have very dry skin. I use a serum and my Supergoop EVERY SINGLE DAY spf only underneath because it is SUPER MOISTERIZING. I don't like the MAGIC CREAM or a regular moisturizer or a primer because my spf has sooo much slip. I don't like more than 1 layer because the finish can look too heavy for my liking with more than one layer becauseof my textured skin. But one thin layer looks really nice. Any only a thin veil of powder. I have a hack with applying foundations especiallythis one. I like to cross-hatch thin swipes all over one cheek with a small concealer brush, before buffing it in. One area at a time, but I feel this foundation can set a little faster than my other foundations. So one area at a time is best. And it ensures I get an equally distributed layer on rather than blobbing it on and having to drag it all over to blend out. I do one cheek, then the other then forehead, down the t-zone and under the jawline.

So true. That's why I try to go in store and do swatches and then walk outside to see how it looks in natural light. You would think they could figure out the light situation so people don't have to end up doing returns😒

Watch the way Tania applied it before deciding against it. It looks like less is more and it seems to stretch really well with a brush versus a sponge. Morgan and Tara Lynn liked it too and they both say they have dry areas. Maybe it just depends on the prep, application method and the right color match.

First day: I didn’t prep my skin enough so it was very matte and I looked about 100. 👵🏻 Second day: I used the Hourglass primer on one side of face and the Laura Mercier hydrating primer on the other. It actually went much better with the hydration on my dry cheeks but the Hourglass worked great on my oily T-zone. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I wore it outside while doing yardwork in 92 degree high humidity and it didn’t budge or transfer. I like that aspect of it. I don’t get the glow that everyone is talking about even though I do find it blurring and it didn’t settle in my not-so-fine lines. It won’t be my favorite for every day because I have to fuss so much, but I may save it for outdoor events. A brush is the way to go for sure. One pump is all it takes, it spreads so well and the coverage is great even though it is very lightweight you can’t even feel it! It is like no other foundation I have ever tried, and I have tried MANY! However I’m not crazy about their shades. I don’t know why a big company can’t do better at creating neutrals. Pretty disappointed because one of the biggest selling points for me was that it doesn’t have fragrance! I do think the foundation is so unique it’s worth at least getting a sample if you can. 😘

@@AllyKit I'm soooooooooo glad you've found a way to make it work. As for the shades, I'm completely stumped with HG foundations, it's ridiculous to read comments saying exactly the same as you!! I'm still undecided. I don't have "dry patches", I seem to be dry all over. My skin NEVER produces any oil whatsoever, not even a teeny drop! I do get days when it feels more normal, which is a great foundation day 🙃

wish she stated it in the caption, but she said it was Shade 5. I did check the next shade, 7.5, and looks much darker than 5.
