Amazing video as always! I have a few minutes left and I can imagine your final thoughts probably include how many dupes there are! Lol meaning, a lot of these products from them are either repeats or look the same and give same end results. I still absolutely love them 💗

i actually dont have any hourglass products so the mini palette would be the least economically efficient but perfect for me because even if its less cost efficient it still is less money, and i like that its only four shades that make a lot of sense to me and take away the choice, which i appreciate. I like only having the blush, bronzer, highlighter, and finishing powder. thanks for putting all of the effort in so i could see the comparison between the big, mini, and last year launches it was rlly helpful!!

Ya, Hourglass powders are pretty bomb🤪 Best on the market.. For me and these palettes, I want something different as far as color story and tone, but their powder formula i don't think they'll EVER top it🤪 No one can. Hehehe🤣🤣

I would say that the unlocked 2018 pallet is REALLY good for women with darker skin tones. The powder blush even highlighter all are for darker skin. Also, Charlotte Tilbury just released the walk of shame and their colors are just for darker skin especially their blush. So pretty!

This is super helpful! I bought the quad and am waiting for it to arrive. I missed out on their holiday palettes in the past, so the quad was perfect for me since it has colors I dont already have. Thanks for the review!

I truly adore your reviews💗💗💗Always throughou, always honest. I have burned through my 2018 palette. It took me 1 1/2 yrs to get through it. I had slowed down bc I didn't want it to finish up on me. I didn't buy a back up last yr when it re-released & regretted it. I'm super excited for the quad bc those colors worked beautifully for me. The larger palette looks promising but I'm hoping they come out with a 2nd one as they've done the past 2 yrs, and here's hoping it's deeper colors fingers 🤞 Great review💕💕💕💕💕💕 Great review

WHAT AN AMAZING AND THOROUGH REVIEW TARA!!! Thank you!!!! For me, I am glad that they came out with the 4 quad this year bc I do not have the 6 pan palette. I just got into makeup this year. They should have come out with these 2 plus a new quad for those who already have the 6 pan one and also products for our beautiful darker toned chicas 💕 hopefully Hourglass gets it together next year.

I live in ogden and went through the wind storm as well and it was just awful. Our power was out for a while and then internet and TV were out even after power was restored for a long time. Trees were ripped from the ground and destroyed in the area. Cant believe it. Glad you stayed safe and great video. Waiting for my palette to be delivered, I got the large one and now I do want the mini as well.

As always great video! Your video and Alicia’s video basically solidified the idea that I don’t need these palettes. I have the original unlocked palette and even though I’m almost done with it I always wanted to buy some of those full size bronzers and blushes. You really hit the mark on the repetitiveness of hourglass though. And the lipsticks might be the only think I actually buy the nude shade is stunning plus it’s refillable and the packaging is cute

Amazing as always Tara, thank you for the comparison I have both ghost palettes from last year so no need to order this one, however the bronzer I like since it has a warmer undertone so I just might since I'm a sucker for bronzers. Now those lipsticks are nice and those I will order!!

I’ve already see two or three reviews on this palette but of course I have to watch your video too!! I already own the unlocked palette, the ghost palette and the edit unlocked (??) so I don’t think I’ll be picking up the new palette. I wish Hourglass would release holiday palettes with all new shades. That said, the HG palettes are stunning 😍 Tara, you should do a vlog about a day in your life when you are babysitting dogs. I only have 1 dog (a pit bull I rescued back in Feb) and he’s a lot to handle. Lol. I would love to see how you manage with your four dogs plus your mom’s five dogs. I love seeing tips and tricks from other dog owners!

Glad you brought this to my attention. I saw on IG but haven't had time to check into it. I thought they looked very similar & w/ the onlocked bit listed, unfortunately it's true. I have the Ghost & love it but I'm good. 1 color of the lips I realized I've used up & repurchased, "I'm addicted" @ least 3 times. It's my purse lipstick I always have. Really enjoy their lippies. Great video ! Very informative . Love the comparisons and the price breakdown. You did a great job !!! Hourglass needs to step up and make their holiday palettes in Light, Medium, and Dark, release all 3 so that everyone is able to buy one. This year's palette is too dark for my light skin, so I will be passing again!

I absolutely love Hourglass powders dearly but, once I've bought so many of their LG (6) palette's, quads, SM(3) palette's and the full size powder's I've started to run on to multiple of the same shades now. With that said I really want the LG palette and will more than likely purchase even tho I know I've gotten some of these already. It's absolutely STUNNING. (If it helps, Hourglass offers Afterpay). But, this Palette will be available for awhile so no rush, you have plenty of time to save if you decide you really want it💋🦋

I love hourglass powders especially the ambient strobe powder (grown up highlighters as Charlotte Holdcroft calls it) but the price per gram between the sizes was a little astonishing. I have the ambient lighting palette, the ghost edit and a mini mood exposure blush (my most favourite blush ever!💓) so I really don't need these but when I do need replacements I think I really need to look closely at what I use most of in what and just get full sizes. Great review thank you!

Thank you for this video. I got the 6 pan release day and I might pick up the quad too and it’s ok (for me) that they’re essentially re-releases because I don’t have any of Hourglass powders but have been wanting them. If I was a hourglass collector though I might be put it. Strangely what I’m more excited about is the At Night blush, I picked that up to with my order. 🙂 That lip color is definitely your shade and it’s really pretty on you. You really put a lot of work into this video and I appreciate it. I may purchase the Quad, as I haven't bought these palettes in a few years. Lucky for me it is one of their most popular selling ones. Those lipsticks are gorgeous, but I have SO many lipsticks that I haven't even opened yet, I just can't justify the cost. After watching your review I took the plunge and bought both palettes. These are my first hour glass purchases they arrived today. Jeepers creepers, what type of wizardry is going on with these products ? Absolutely blown away, I look gorgeous if I do say so myself. Now I just need to work out what are the best, economic brushes to buy to apply this voodoo. Any suggestions gratefully received. Hi, I was browsing reviews of this palette and I came across your video and it was so helpful and informative. I don’t own high end anything so for me to spend this kind of money on a makeup product was a big decision. After I watched your video I went to the website and put it in the cart and then went to bed and slept on it. The next day after thinking and thinking about it I pulled the trigger and bought it. I appreciate that it might not be the most cost efficient if you break it down by grams but it is a beautiful face a palette and I got the holiday set with the two lipsticks and they had a discount. I don’t even wear red lipsticks but I’m still excited about it. Now I’m patiently waiting for my package to arrive. This will be my Christmas present to myself and I am so excited about it I can’t wait :) Thank you for all the work you put in to the video so viewers like me can make informed decisions..

Though expensive, I think one has to appreciate the high quality of hourglass blushes. They are not powdery, no product is wasted as there is no kick-back and on the skin they look flawless. I have the Unlocked pallette from 2018 and it is the product I use the most from my collection and I still have at least a year or even more of use as the powders go a long way. I think it is worth in investing just on one pallette and then buy when the one you have expires or is used up. I do not think there is even the need to buy backups as the quality is consistent and the palettes look the same from year to year.

I didn’t purchase the ghost palette last year so I’ll get this one. The packaging is much better. I do hear the people who can’t use this palette which is really a shame, they do need to smarten up for the rest of us. They still have time to bring out a deeper palette if Italy is feeling better. What a wonderful surprise it would be. You look gorgeous as usual and the lip colours are great. I’m going to save for them.

I do wish Hourglass were more inclusive. I think it’s time to move on from the 6 pans and make 3 different quads for different skin tones.

Michelle Bowler this comment confused me as they definitely released the unlocked in 2018 and then the ghost unlocked in 2019. But HG has responded on Instragram confirming the quad will be released in Mecca. It also caused some confusion though as they responded with 2 different sets of dates - and sparked people to question if there is a second palette release coming. Edit: just saw that Reallyree has a blog post and in answer to a query on another release to these 2 she answered that there is an embargo on any further news on it yet.

Holy cow, the ghost palette and sculpture palette look IDENTICAL. I have the Volume 4 Edit (pink packaging), the Ghost palette and quad, plus the unlocked palette in the ghost packaging. I also have a ton of single blushes and bronzers, and the strobe palette. It seems like it’s safe to say I don’t need any of the holiday releases this year, which makes me sad because I really look forward to them every year.
