Ah yes. Lunar Bronze is the Jellyfish palette. Basically the word EDIT in the title is our clue that it's edited and, therefore, repeats.

I adore the hourglass powders and realized I am a collector when they started piling up! But I did start a chart so I know if I have the powder already when they release. It looks like this (and my “snake” is actually the “jellyfish”). I think I may be a bit OCD, but I couldn’t keep track otherwise! I have zero desire to get more hourglass. It all turns orange on me. HOWEVER I finally listened to you and ordered the Guerlain Meteorites in the new fairest shade and WOW WOW WOW, it could be the most beautiful thing I have ever put on my face. And the experience (scent and packaging) just makes it that much more enjoyable. I typically do not like glow and shimmer. But they are magical.

I totally agree with how hard it is to keep track of shade names and if/when there are repeats! It’s the same with Pat McGrath! Because I was curious, I pulled out the Hourglass palettes I own and here’s what I found as crossovers in my current palettes when compared to the new bronze/light palette: Soft Light - Ambient Lighting Palette Vol II, Holiday 2022 Elephant Palette Golden Bronze Light - Ambient Lighting Palette Vol II Dim Light - Ambient Lighting Palette Vol I (haha I checked online since I knew it wasn’t in my Vol II), Holiday 2022 Elephant Palette I don’t have every palette but wanted to share this info in case it helped anyone else with decisions!

I love love hourglass. I have almost all the palettes. I wish when they made the sculpt/bronze ones that they would make one for fairer skin with more cooler bronzers and obviously a darker one . Omg if they would make a sculpt palette with cooler bronzers and more cool pink or mauve (not rosy or orange blushes) I would be in heaven ❤❤

Wild! I checked all of my Hourglass palettes and singles and I have EVERY SINGLE ONE of the shades in the two larger palettes. EVERY ONE. That just saved me a bundle! Yes, the Lunar Bronze is in the Jellyfish palette, which has an owl on it in my custom packaging (which I wish I never did b/c of the confusion). Thank you for the “Edit” tip! BTW, the Lunar Bronzer is ORANGE!

I really don’t find lunar bronze to be orange at all 😅 in fact it’s one of my faves ! & it’s why I got the jellyfish palette; it’s less warm too ❤ it’s perfection on me & the most neutral bronzer I think hourglass has to offer 😊

Three?? 🤔 I read that if you have the Jellyfish palette there are four shades in the blush palette & one in the bronze. And people have been complaining that those savings codes do not apply on these "new" palettes...so confusing 🙄 I checked and yup that Lunar Bronze shade was in the Jellyfish palette 🤎

Yep I compared these to my jellyfish palette and there are four shades in the blush one like you said, and the bronzer from jellyfish is in the new bronze palette. So the new blush palette here was an easy pass for me.

I have the volume 1 blush edit, a single bronzer, Ghost and Jellyfish. I don't need this.... Just splurged on a Jo Malone scent for my upcomming birthday/motherday. No roses for me, I picked the nectarine/honey blossom scent. I live in an area with a lot of rose nursereries and can get them right from the field/greenhouse. But my favourite flower is a tulip. How dutch can I be 😂

That nectarine honey blossom sent is one of my favorites of all time. I could bathe in it and it still would not be overpowering. It’s just so pretty and layers really beautifully with other fragrances

I love my hourglass palettes, but prefer them in the tin packaging. I hit pan in the Butterfly and Leopard (my fave) already- use them on the whole face including eyes on the go almost every day! All of these powders, I already have in the other pieces.

I love how quick to review you are, and of course your warm personality. Can I kindly make a request? I would love if you would discuss the colors more, the undertones of the makeup? Like is the first blush you tried more coral? A bit warm? Is the second more cool, and closer to maybe the baby pink of X blush, with a hint of lilac? I know we can see them on your skin, but the skin tone of the user affects how it looks. Just more descriptions of shades would be so helpful! Thank you!

Oh just what I needed - some light relief. I have the jellyfish so aparantly there are a lot the same with of them but I do think for some people who don't just collect things that one of these may be the perfect pallette for someone. I would much prefer some new shades in singles though.

I had their last 4-pan palette and loved it. 6-pan is too overwhelming for me. The new 4-pan is gorgeous and I’ll get it when it pops up on the Hourglass site. I get skin compliments every time I wear their bronzers and it’s perfect for travel.

When they released their eyeshadows… By the way nobody liked those but me… They allowed us to create our own palette and they haven’t done it since. I wonder if it was some sort of a nightmare in the shipping department?

So helpful! I have the 4-pan from Selfridges and absolutely love it! I ordered the bronze/highlighter palette last night, but am tempted to go back and buy the blush one as well with your code. Loved the video, dear Rebecca, i think i have all the shades. But the quad from Hourglass is also cute!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩I would love them to be more serious about including deeper skintones, and also, that WE can customise the entire palette. Last year they already made a little step, to choose the animals, i want from them that we can choose ourselves what WE want IN the palettes, including more shades/possiblities for deeper skintones. I must say, Hourglass, i may shop at their website coming from The Netherlands/Europe and they DO support those animals, they don't have a strange mist about this like Chantecaille does, i do not support anything Chantecaille here, only being able to shop at (very good) retailers. As they do what they say, the powders are so beautiful Rebecca, but as a palette, only the Tiger catered to tan/deeper complexions, i understood, which can be done so much better! And, we swimm in flowers here, however i love love love these gorgeous arrrangements you showed, those roses 😍Thanks for another lovely video, sending you lots of love!!!😘😘😘😘

have a variation, but for me actually most loved and used: Hourglass Sculpture palette (i believe still there on their website?) and the Elephant palette, which was last year another animal, but i swithced, mixed, matched the animals, i believe orginally it was the Leopard, but the elephant is the most special animal on the planet for me, so maybe thats why i remember the elephant

@@emicb999I’m not aware of any special formulations for lip products versus other cosmetics for the face. I know some pigments are not eye safe, particularly reds, but nowhere else on the face. I don’t think I would “eat” this any more than any other lip product as far as volume.

I am a bit late to this video and I am not sure if someone else mentioned it but the Champagne Strobe Light was also in the Ambient Lighting Edit - Ghost Unlocked, as was the Golden Bronze Light bronzer, that palette came out maybe 4-5 years ago. Great video, as always, Rebecca!

You know what I like to do with these? Big fluffy brush and just make big circles of all of them and use as blush bronzer highlighter all in one sort of thing. Sometimes I get a small brush with just bronzer. But usually at least get a mix of 4 pans etc. just depends on how they are spaced out in the pans.

Hi lovely Rebecca !! Now that’s dedication to hourglass 😊taking off my makeup once at night is enough for me 🤣 . I do love hourglass and you definitely get more for your money with the pallets. But for me I like to choose my individual shades . I love dim infusion finishing powder, dim infusion blush and I have just purchased the bronzer in Nude bronze light . Some blushes and bronzers in the pallets are too dark for me personally , and I wouldn’t end up using them all . I would prefer to build my own blush and bronzer /powder palette. Fabulous review and swatches ❤🤗

I actually do agree especially if you don’t have a lot of their blush in general because the powder is so beautiful. Sometimes if I’m getting through blushes I don’t really mind that I have a little repeat here or there because then it’s all in one spot.

I’m really starting to realize that we we all need to look for here is the word edit in the title of the palette. If it is an edit, a small word buried a mid 1 million bigger words, it means they’ve edited a collection together from their singles and such.

I think the blush palette works for all skin types but some of the lighter shades you would maybe have to use just on eyes. There’s a lot of powerful shades in there for cheeks tho.

You've been crazy busy Rebecca! Like you said in one of your previous videos, it's worse than the typical holiday madness at the moment! I have to mention how you made me laugh saying: no, I don't think that's the way blush is applied LOL you could have added: but it was in the 80's!! The first one anyway :) As for the palettes, I'm always so drawn to Hourglass. I'll never use what I already have in this lifetime, but I still have the need for more. I was kicking myself for not getting the 4-pan from Selfridges before it sold out, but good news is that it's now available at Harvey Nichols so I fed my greedy soul and placed the order :) Love, love, love your beloved bronzer brush. It's like one of those old and terrible looking but loved forever teddy bears 😆

@@NotFitforPrintBeauty They deserved the panic attack LOL Welcome to the world where every soft drink has to have an instruction saying you have to first open the bottle to drink it, then explains how to actually open the bottle (apply gentle pressure and turn the cap...) and finally reminds you not to eat the cap - just in case! It's insane... but at least we have beautiful make-up. And we do know how to apply it LOL We just like to scare people every now and then ;-)

Maybe I’m a weirdo, but the thing I’d rush to buy from Hourglass is a blush quad. I’d want a neutral brown blush, a pink, a coral, and a berry. I just love their blushes and want a warm, a neutral, and a cool blush in the same palette without a bunch of other powders I won’t use because the shades don’t suit me. (There’s much more wiggle room with blush!) I prefer to use the finishing powder shade I like as a single. Pretty please, Hourglass?! I’m getting the Rose Forever for my MIL for Mothers’ Day!! Yay!!!

I don’t know if it’s me but I just don’t get these large palettes. The colors all look nice but it seems like I’d like two maybe three of the six. Maybe I get the 4 pan as the colors were nice but kinda wish the blush colors were more different ( one a cooler tone maybe), wouldn’t be my choices. I do have an older 3 pan palette and I do like the colors and the formula of hourglass ( haven’t pulled it out in awhile so good to remind me). I know these are usually so popular so I must be missing it but meh. I watched because I knew I’d enjoy my morning with you😊

You are faster than light 😅 just posted swatches from my original palettes. All of them are existing shades. I love my Golden Rose palette and if you don't get that, i think bronze & highlight is a useful warm finishing/bronzing palette for medium complexions. The blush & glow.. butterfly palette taught me that you want the finishing powders on one side and blushes on the other, therefore i would not recommend it.

I love watching your reviews even though i have no interest in this particular product. This release is the easiest pass ever lol. I have the volume ii and a handful of her blush singles and two other finishing powder singles plus the tiger palette from a couple of years ago. These new palettes bring nothing to the table except give you an edit that you can travel with. The biggest miss that i see is that the two bronzers that look way too similar. If they weren't going to give us new shades then why couldn't they edit the bronze and glowy palette with one of the bronzers being from the volume iii so more people can use it? Also i do agree that the ones in there look more orange on fair skin tones. Hourglass is not doing anyone any favours. Also they do have a variety of blush shades in their collection, but why did they make an edit with all light pink/coral. It's maddening 😂. They will mostly look the same on your skin after they blend in. I'm so confused by their decision making. Too bad brands don't let you in on why they chose the shades that they did.

I remember when they did the eyeshadow. Nobody liked those eyeshadows except for me by the way. But they let you choose your own shades. I wonder if that was some sort of a nightmare for them in terms of organization and logistics because I would think they would be able to do the same thing with their powders for the face. But they’ve never done it. They let you choose The packaging but never the shades.

Aren’t the roses beautiful. They, unfortunately aren’t cat proof! My little cat had quite a party last year with my roses. Hourglass…. They need to offer something new. Personally I don’t like their bronzers. They look orange on me. Otherwise they do produce very nice powders. Now I’ll ask the question… How many powders does one need? OMG! I’ve never known anyone who has those roses!!! I’ve seen celebrities and youtubers none of which are Rebecca!!!! I think I’m going to order some for my Mom!!! Ok here we go with Hourglass, let me tune in for the details. Palette 1 and 2 repeats, ok Hourglass. I get curating shades (their whole edit line concept) that were previously available as singles BUT really, very disappointing. Why not give us the option to select our own shades because once again Hourglass is not interested in ensuring their palettes are diverse. Clearly, I understand everything isn’t for me but Hourglass is notorious for being this way. I still love their powder but these palettes are a no for me. Palette 3 is very pretty! You can really see the beauty of the shades in the warm California sun! I have several Hourglass palettes for as much as I complain, there is no powder formulation that compares to their powders. I just wish they would be more creative and diverse but I suppose because we all keep buying their products, they have zero incentive to change. People will pay for luxury and it doesn’t have to be hourglass. For example, those. Chanel quads with the highlighter and three blushes is my go to carry around face palette. The blushes and highlight are gorgeous and they made two palettes to at least attempt to offer something for most, obviously not everyone but most folks can use all the shades. Lastly, I’m excited for Wayne’s new synthetic brush line! I purchased the last one, which was a few years back, maybe 2018/2019 and love it, so hopefully this new version is even more spectacular especially now with all the additional financial backing from his investors. As always, you deliver the best quality and informative videos! Love all you do! Simply the very very best!!!
