Bless your and dougs heart for opening up you home like you have, my son is military, almost 20 years in now, and he has mi Ed in with us a few times between getting orders to move where he is needed until he could find a house....but no grandchildren....that's a sad story and we would love to have a house full...so enjoy every messy mess my friend....loved the look of the stick foundation, I have never tried one yet...I have so many I am trying to use what I have before I buy anymore...hang in there my beautiful friend, I know your heart is bigger than you are....💕 love and blessings..xoxo

Hi Melissa! You sound a lot like me. My fiance says I am OCD. I say I am a neat and clean person. I like everything kept in its place too. We are remodeling and adding on to our home so this is extremely difficult. I feel like I am never without my Dyson vacuum in one hand and a Swiffer duster in the other. Bless you for being so gracious with your son's family. I am sure it is very trying for you and your daughter-in-law especially with the four children. She is so lucky to have you as a bonus mom. Also, I think this video came out just fine. I didn't find it all over the place at all. You did an excellent job in your comparison of the two foundations and I am excited and looking forward to your video with your daughter-in-law. Melissa, I have always believed that you are a kind person. Now, I know that you are. I have experienced something very similar to you with my daughter and her family a few years ago. I'm very much like you - wanting everything to be neat, clean and in its proper place. However, that is not the case when your adult child moves back in with his/her family. But when love is involved, you just make it work. I'm sure your son and daughter-in-law are doing everything possible to move into their own home. It will happen and they will appreciate you and Doug even more. Your son is so blessed to have you as his Mom. I also want to let you know that I am so glad you are healing so well from your surgery. Hey Melissa, thanks for doing this comparison. I have not tried stick foundations in years. However, I do love hourglass products and I don’t care for Bobbi Brown in general. Both look great on you, but I think I will give the hourglass a test drive. I am testing foundations right now like a mad woman! Don’t Apologize at all about the video because it is Awesome! hey pretty lady, great review regarding these stick foundations, I have only ever tried one stick foundation and it was from Makeup Revolution, it did a great job for the drugstore price as I could not afford either of the two you mentioned, but they sure did a fabulous job, your skin looks amazing and you my friend, look beautiful! One of my happiest days was the day I found out Max Factor Pan Stick is BACK! You can get it on Amazon and on EBay. I only pay tops $10.00. It now comes in a black tube. And yes it’s smaller... but it’s fabulous ! I put it on with my fingers over a primer and then spread it around with the good old triangle sponge. Then a powder puff with some Laura Mercier powder and voila! Perfect coverage that lasts all day!!

@Beth and Melissa. I know! So many memories come to mind with me also! My Mom used this too. It used to be in a white tube and it had a really nice scent to it. I can still remember how my Mom's face smelled when I hugged her as a child. I loved that scent! She was a model and her face and skin was always so beautiful. She also used another Max Factor foundation that came in a small glass jar with a silver lid. It was a cream water proof foundation that also had a really nice scent. I used to wear it in high school during the summer when I would hang out at the pool. It really did stay on well even after swimming and perspiring. Gosh, those were the days! 🙄😊

Very few women are beautiful with or without makeup but you certainly are one who is! Without makeup you look like a different person..maybe a woman who stars in Downton Abbey or a woman on the cover of a magazine...it's quite amazing how lovely your face is without any makeup. With makeup on you look more 2018 and pretty in a colorful modern way...both faces are truly beautiful and the Lord has blessed you with grace, beauty and now good health!

I have been wanting to try a stick foundation again. I used them back in the sixties and seventies!! Your skin looks beautiful with them on!! I hear that Revolution has a really good one. I have never tried a stick foundation. They both look beautiful on you! My skin is SOOO dry all of a sudden. Omgosh - a year ago I was oily and now I’m parched and cracked. So I’m trying some new moisturizers and less is best on my face. Well, I haven’t seemed to scare anyone yet. Between the peeling and cracking it’s interesting.. lol. Melissa, a great video on the stick foundations. I agree with all of your viewers...you are such a sweetheart and may God bless you and your family! I lived with my mother in law many many years ago when my husband retired from the Army. It is hard but like you, she was so kind and understanding with me and our all boy sons!!!. This will make you and your son's family close....and they will never forget your kindness. On the foundations....Tarte puts out a really good foundation stick also. I came across this by accident but I really do like it. Maybe give it a try too???... I am 67 years old and also do not use primer or powders. Have a wonderful rest of the week everyone and some getting ready for Christmas fun too! :)

I can relate our daughter and her husband have been living with us since July👪 she had our first grandchild in October . I love being able to see him every day but it is difficult . But I am thankful we can help them it’s just hard at times🦋

it is challenging for everyone to be together, especially with 4 little ones. We have our son-in-law, daughter, and 3 very active noisy little boys living with us. To remain sane, it is important for you and Doug to have your quiet space. God Bless All!

Hey Melissa, this was a great comparison! I actually bought the BB stick foundation and have been using it for the last month or so and I love it. On me, you can build it up and I use a beauty blender with mine and it is flawless on. I was really surprised that I did to be honest, but I do love it. Thanks for comparing these.. I haven't tried the HG but now i'm curious!

I had a dreadful time getting the Vanish stick match; now I mix 1 part Shell to 3 parts Nude. The Hourglass Vanish Foundation Brush is perfect for any stick or cream pan foundation; it spreads the product better but doesn’t remove it. Can’t wait for the beachy waves video!

I would have to say a big no on the Bobbi brown for me I broke out into massive hives and I don’t have breakout prone skin. I’m so glad you and Doug are able to help your son out like this at one point in our lives we have or will need help. 😘😘

My daughter, son-in-law and grandson lived with me for quite a time and I know what it takes. I am a neat freak and like things in their place, but I had to let go and focus on other things that were more important. Looking back I was so lucky to be able to spend so much time with my grandson while growing up. You’ll get through the best and worst of this and so will your son and his family. ❤️. Sandra

Hourglass is one of my very favorite stick foundations 😍 I think both looked beautiful on you but I do think the hourglass wore better! I’ve heard good things about the YSL all hours stick as well, might have to try it and I LOVE the Westman Atelier stick but it isn’t a ton of coverage, almost light/medium coverage but it’s beautiful 😁 Always love your videos Melissa, I’m over here cooking Zuppa and listening to your lovely voice 😍😁 Happy Tuesday! 💜

Hi pretty lady. I have been interested in the Hourglass stock for awhile but the shade range has baffled me so much. I am a true neutral so I’m thinking the shade you used might work for me. I do like the Wander Beauty stick but Melissa I would love for you to try Gerda Spillman compact cream it’s my most favorite. Thank you for showing this demo and giving us your thoughts. Xoxo 😘.

Thanks for sharing. I’m looking forward to the hair video with your daughter in-law. My husbands mother is Japanese and very young at heart. Her hair is difficult for me to style for her. My daughter inherited some of the hair characteristics. I’ll be anxiously waiting to watch it.

Hi Melissa! I think that the hourglass looks better on you! It seem to go on very smoothly. I use my finger also! Guess I’m old fashioned that way. I don’t use a primer either. I like to feel like I have no foundation on. TFS ❣️Hugs 🤗😘

I like everything in it's place. I'm like you. Lol! It's tough for others to put up with us. My granddaughter asked me one day, how come things have to be so fussy in place. When I was a kid I thought the same thing about my mom. Hahaha! And here I am. The same way Lol! Take good care of yourself. We need to try and take breaks when we can. In my 40's I used the bobbie brown compact foundation which is oil free but still kind of like a stick form in a compact. I liked it alot then just the price was the drawback. Your skin always looks so good though with anything you use!

This is such a helpful tutorial and perfect timing for me as I'm finding I'm needing a little more coverage with my foundation. I've not tried a stick foundation yet so it looks like I'm heading back to the Sephora website soon. I swear I should just tell all my family all I want for Christmas is Sephora gift cards because I'm just always "needing" something. LOL Lovely as always Friend. :)
