The beginning is so reminiscent of Coraline the Book. In the book, she walks away from the house, and it’s misty outside. She’s walking with a cat (which can talk when she’s in the Other World) and they’re just talking. All of a sudden, the house appears from the mist. They’ve been walking in a straight line for five minutes. The visuals and your reaction reminded me so much of that moment. Just a thought. Super cool vid!

ok so clearly this isn't as old of a version as you'd assume from the opening, clearly a texture pack is being used based on the glass texture, but seeing the glazed terracotta it would make most sense to assume it's a texture pack made time wise post world of color update being used on an older version of minecraft

spooky stuff aside, i don't know how to explain it, but this perfectly encapsulates my minecraft memories from back then. super flat worlds, little wooden structures, the tiny render distance, the desaturated visuals i remember from pretty much every video on youtube at the time. all of that just gave me a big nostalgia punch in the face; although, the glazed terracotta and concrete kinda took me out of it a little.

That feeling of returning to your childhood home where you grow up. The difference is that now you return as an adult and everyone is gone. Place in now dark, cold, and lonely. The family and friends with them have long moved on or are gone. Now it's just you alone in that once lively place that used to be warm and happiest all the time. Alone with your memories and thoughts. Wondering to yourself what was the point of it all if it all would end one day.
