Good job! Looking good so far. When you are building the floor, you can click on Q when you have the wall tool out and choose inward. This will allow you to build into the ground if you want you house flat on the ground. You can also choose the color of the walls before you build the walls by clicking "change style" I think it is.

It is a lot of fun, I must admit that it's way easier than the story mode and it doesn't cost anything either 😂

I think the best feature is the fact that you can play in first person mode after your house is done or anytime you wish, making it feel like you're actually inside the house exploring. I don't think we have other games that give us this feature? Building, plenty, but not first person walk around. Sims 5 (if ever it comes out) really needs better features when it comes to playing as your character. Clicking is not satisfying when making your character do something or go somewhere. Pressing, moving the joystick is much more satisfying.

I agree with you, And you can upload your builds so others can enjoy your creations, I am a big fan of building in the Sims but it's so very expensive, and no colorwheel!

If this helps 8 foot floor to ceilings in normal houses and 10 foot plus floor to ceilings in mansion type houses. I don't know if you go by Meters or foot and inches but in settings and in measurement system you can change metric to imperial which would be feet and inches.

I'm in South Africa so we use the metric system. I've had to do a bit of research with regards wall heights, stair widths and other things while building in sandbox. Sometimes what works in the real world doesn't always translate to the game. For example most of the houses for sale in game have only a 1m wide staircase. I will keep trying to build what I see in my head though 😂 I'm not an architect 😅

@@book-ish_ Your right on one thing the measurements in this game is no near to real life. to me I find it much smaller in game as I'm recreating our raised bungalow and what I measured in real life does not work in game, so at that point you have to use some furniture to figure out the room sizes. For the knowledge of the game well was just like you struggling was getting real and still learning from others such as you and Renovator (which you should check out as he is an architect in real life) and many others on KZfaq but I did play lot of The Sims games and if I can I love to be creative. For your roof problems the 2 front boxed areas the one side roof was up 1 block too high for matching the other side and for the bigger roof seems to need to be brought up a few blocks reasons not having good ceiling line, but hey roofs are a pain to work with just watch your height levels for multiple roofs like here other than that just like you still learning and for that you do very good job and love your decorating keep it up and keep learning from others ideas.

@@StephenBourne-xr4cu I also played The Sims a long time ago and all I wanted to do was build stuff. That was when the games were still on disk, but it all became so expensive. I will definitely have a look at Renovator, I have theses huge ideas that don't always work out, but as I say in the videos, the house isn't going to fall down. I have hated placing roofs since they came out in HF1 and I am still battling with them now. The move and resize tool is really effective and I'm slowly getting more familiar with it, hopefully this means better roofs in the future. Thank you so much for all your encouragement, knowledge and support

not hard but overwhelming at first. Once you find out what every feature does, creating a house is pretty easy.

It is fairly easy, you just have have an idea of wall heights so it looks in scale
