It really depends on the pre requisite of the program you are applying for. Some use only CXC.

Homes are probably cheap in Grande Prairie. But you live 4 hours from Edmonton, and 7 hours from Calgary. Thats wayyy up in the north. So there are pros and cons. You get cheap housing, but location is isolated and super cold. Also as Jamaicans most of the diaspora is in Ontario. Its trade off. One has to go there to live and find work, before deciding to move there. I would never give up the Ontario or BC life for Alberta. I had family who moved from Ontario to Edmonton and they absolutely HATED it. They are in BV and are happy. I for one would never leave Ontario as my primary. I like the multiculturalism and Jamaican diaspora.

Thanks for sharing, appreciate your feedback. It’s very important to acknowledge that we all have separate likes and dislikes. For me affordable housing, high income and family stability is more important that multiculturalism or Jamaican Diaspora. Alberta is the best province for kids/people with special needs also and having an autistic child I would never live in Ontario.
