I agree that I was excited to watch an Asian successful reality show, but I noticed they gave more of a conservative... southern vibe. Somehow & I may be wrong lmaooo but I DEF feel like if any of them dated a black man or woman there would be a real plot twist on how they really are humanely...

I watched it in one go. You have heard of second hand embarrassment, let’s welcome second hand trauma because damn the shit that viet parents put their oldest daughters THRU. I cannot deal with how Judy and the sister in law were being treated. I’m glad they are not showcasing random drama but real trauma points. Alcoholism, dysfunctional families, intergenerational conflicts, etc etc

Spot on. Dated my fair share of Asian men, a lot of them have mommy and parental issues. They feel like they can't share with Asian women, so because I'm black and a quarter Asian they feel comfortable offloading on me. A lot of them have real suppressed feelings on they grew up. Whether they had money or not this sentiment was the same.

I just started watching the first episode tonight. It's is kind of interesting at the same time it is like train wreck. As former Vietnamese refugee I can relate to some of the experience but not the lavish life style. I been struggling all my life. The American dream has eluded me. But I am still content.

Show was awesome. I binge watched the entire season with my buddies and if you’re Asian, you can relate a lot, maybe not the super rich part, but you get what I mean. Look, if you are not into reality type of tv or think you’re “above” watching this type of stuff, then don’t watch it. But for me, it’s fun to see the drama and lifestyle. It’s a good way to just enjoy a show, lighten up and don’t take it too seriously

Honestly this show is both frustrating and comforting at the same time. Being raised in an Americanized Hispanic household I'm able to relate to so much of the family dynamics in this show. It's nice to see some kids finally breaking these cycles and doing the things that's right for them (Reagan). But also disheartening to see people so obviously unhappy but sticking around for the sake of love (Lesley).

I am so glad she stand up for herself, but I do also understand the parents are supporting her and her kids! Washington is another entitle privileged boy; arrogant, spoil, and ego narcissistic sorta way....but I am glad he step up for his wife and kids! Wish Reagan would share a bit more so we can understand of the whole family dynamic---I love him stand up for his sister for what is right!
