Again we see that Queen Rhaenyra is a loving mother whereas Alicent loves her children yet isn't a good mother. And I had a flashback to G.o.T season 1 when Kat Stark was not leaving Bran's bedside for nothin'. So seeing Aegon call out "mummy" right after Alicent got up and walked out hurts my heart for him. Yes...he's a butthead but what can I say? I have an empathetic heart. ☺️💚 Thanks you both!!!!

8:30 The blocking in the scene is fantastic! There stands Alicent,a woman who did rule in her sick hubby's stead with two men sitting behind her one at each side. One is a foot frakin' Master of Whispers and the other is Ser Bitterpuss Cole, both for years have pledged their allegiance to her, Alicent directly. Yet there they both sit, behind her and metaphorically stabbing her in the back by agreeing her son Aemon should be King Regent. Fantastic blocking!!!!

The mom thing is almost entirely just Daemon’s Second Son Syndrome working overtime. He was a baby when she died, so he didn’t really know her like that. It’s not an incest fantasy so much as a longing for a woman’s love and support, as he recently lost from his wife. Whether he earned her anger or not, Daemon was hurt by Rhaenyra’s last words to him. Daemon has probably always romanticized what his mother would’ve been like had she lived, how she would’ve seen the best in him, etc. It just manifested sexually in his dream.

I hope Corlys becomes Rhaenyra's hand. That would be awesome. Baela, Jace and Mysaria all really stepped it up this episode. I feel for Rhaena though. She should get a chance at one of the dragons. Maybe it's just me but I'm over Daemon's storyline. He's my favorite character ( now that Rhaenys is gone) and they seem to be butchering his character. He's not doing anything except screwing shit up and tripping around the haunted castle. I am looking forward to next week's episode though.

I think Alys Rivers is working with Larys Strong to weaken Daemon and divide team Black. I don't think the scene with the Riverlords was real. I think it was a dream planted by her when they spoke because it was exactly what she had said. It was meant to plant guilt and make him doubt himself. Her manipulation is meant to push him to the depth of that darkness he keeps sheathed within, as Rhaenyra put it, and divide team Black.

I like the pace of this episode especially after last week. We all needed to mourn Rheanyra and Meleys and not jump right into fighting again. The disrespect of ser crispy parading Meleys’ head through the town talking bout she’s a traitor 😡 you can tell them Hightowers don’t know anything about Dragons bcuz a True Targeryans would never have allowed that. They would know the Dragons are revered and loved. RIP to Sunfyre and I hope Aegon suffers for the rest of his life. I thought Deamon was dreaming about Verserys wife but when I heard people say it was his Mother I just about 🤮. Deamon needs to get his butt out of Harrenhall and go home. I think the scene with Aemond and Helaena is interesting. In S1 Aemond wanted to marry her for what he said was duty. I've always wondered if maybe his feelings for her were deeper than that.
