@@478Johnnyboyright!! Even though I’ve heard only good things about it I’m still hesitant to watch it because I don’t want to support those clowns. The whole wanting to move on from what literally everyone was calling “the greatest tv show of all time” is stupid on its own like do you guys really think you can do better when literally no one else has even the greatest of show runners hardly ever make a second great show. But then to rush the ending to do so like give it to someone else to ruin so you don’t get blamed at the least lol but ruining it on purpose to go do something else. A show almost everyone in the world was watching! Like who do you think would even want to watch your new show if/after you did that? It’s crazy to even think about it just makes me mad even all these years later. I still think if HBO remade that last season they could easily make their money back from views and blu ray sales alone because everyone who loved the show would be checking it out to see if they did better.

Jon’s Mother was from the North (Ice) his father was Targaryen (fire). Aegon foresaw in a vision “the end of the world of men” which will begin “a terrible winter, gusting out of the distant north.” Sound familiar? They even mention in this season that the promised prince would unite all the seven kingdoms to fight against a common enemy. Kinda like Jon uniting everyone to fight against the dead in GOT. Jon Snow is absolutely and unequivocally the promised Prince in Aegons vision. Edit: This was also hinted at the end of G.O.T when Sam Tarly writes the story of what happened and calls it “A Song of Ice and Fire. “ Tyrion mentions that he can’t wait to read what was said about him. When Sam responds, “you’re not mentioned in it.” Which would make sense, because Sam wrote it and doesn’t know anything about Tyrion. But do you know who he does know a great ordeal about? Jon Snow, AKA Aegon Targaryen!! The same name of the original that started the prophecy.

Sansa is Ice. Jon is the "fire" Prince that was promised. The Azor Ahai .. is the three Heads of the dragon ( Dany, Tyrion, Jon). Jon is simply the last hero ... of three.

@@dawnprudenti1964 Nope. GRRM has full TV rights and after Season 6 .. told D&D to change the ending to not spoil TWOW. Spoiler Alert!!!. The Azor Ahai ... is the THREE ... Heads of the Dragon ( Dany, Tyrion, Jon) .. and each rider will take the Throne & die but together these THREE will save the Living from the Dead. Season 2 House of Undying visions tell us 1) Dany takes the throne in winter & 2) Dany dies north of the wall. Season 7 was all about Dany NOT taking the throne in winter and Dany NOT dying North of the wall. Dany is the first dragon rider who takes the throne and then dies. Tyrion is the 2nd dragon rider who takes the throne and then dies. Jon is the Last Hero of Three ..who takes the throne & dies ... but together they save Westeros ... just as Aegon the Conqueror with his sister wives ... conquered Westeros. Jon is Aegon, Dany is Rhaenys and Tyrion is Visenya. Jon marries Sansa to remain King of the North and has no interest in the Throne. But because Dany & then Tyrion dies ... Jon reluctantly takes the throne .. saves Westeros but dies. Quene Sansa rules the new Westeros ... very preggie ... and with a Dragon egg. Sansa is the Ice. Jon is the Fire. *Alys* *Rivers* is not a ghost like Bruce Willis in The Sixth Sense or a hallucination like recently Jeffrey Dean Morgan in The Boys S4. But nobody except Daemon interacts with her. She only has spoken to Daemon. The proof she isn’t his hallucination is because in the most recent episode, Simon Strong does look at her and even turns his head. And when you first see her in Ep. 3, a background character does glance at her for a split second. But it is weird how nobody ever says a word to her or she talks to anybody except Daemon.

Its importance could have just been lost through the generations and especially with Aryes going mad. All we know with Rhyegar is that at a young age he preferred reading but one day decided that he needed to become skilled with the sword and had an interest in prophecy after.

He may have noticed 'something' on the blade but as it was cooling off, it faded. It may take a lot of putting thoughts together to figure out that reheating the blade is a thing. As Aemond is a bit preoccupied with Daemon, this seems like back-burner thing, for now.

The blade had to be glowing to read the text. I think it could be possible for the writers to figure out a way for Aemond to find out there’s more to the dagger, but he definitely didn’t see anything when he picked it up.

Interesting theory, but the Cat's Paw dagger wasn't shown as having been heated much less red hot so Aemond still might not be aware of the Pyromancers' magic inscription on its blade.

They're definately setting up Daemon and Aemond each believing they are the prince that was promised. Daemons already heard the prophecy from Rhaenyra and now he's with Alys Rivers seeing all kinds of things. As we know Aemond eventually travels to Harenhaal so it'll be interesting to see the parallels on how they each handle the situation.

In the books the dagger is won by King Robert Baratheon during the joust on Joffrrey nameday. Robert never retrieves the dagger and Joffrey steals the dagger. That also means he's the one to hire an assassin to kill Bran in hopes to humour his mom.

Interesting idea, there’s a theory that stats the son or descendant of Aemond Targaryen and Alys Rivers went on to form house Whent. If true then Catelyn Stark, the daughter of Minisa Whent has Targaryen blood, which she passed on to Arya who defeated the knights king. Arya is then from Aegon the conquerors line and thus is the prince that was promised. It’s not very poetic doesn’t represent ice or fire as much as the contrast between Jon and Daenerys does.

It's a huge stretch to conclude that Alys must've shared the Prince Who Was Promised prophecy with the Westeros Witches Council. When you do that you completely ignore the fact that Melissandre is a shadowbinder trained in Asshai, and that Essos and followers of R'hollor have their own version of the central figure of the prophecy, Azor Ahai. Poor theory craft Paul.

I mean technically assuming any of Jon, Danny or Arya being the "prince that was promised" Would actually require the dance to happen since otherwise Rhynearas other sons would have been the lineage that continued and odds are her younger son who eventually does become king wouldn't have had the same wife. Even with it potentially being Arya I believe their liniage still comes from the children born through Cregan and Alys Blackwood that happened with Cregan riding south.

John is the one the prophecy speaks of but bran changed how things where supposed to happen but letting the night king tuch him and broke the magic that was infused into the wall and allowed the night king break threw and the dragons to fly north of the wall alowed danis dragon to be killed and the wars in the south so he could be king and try and clame drogon for himself thats why john was forced north of the wall for all time so no one can contest him

At first when i watched i thought he read the blade but i don’t think he did. If you play the clip of him picking the blade up at normal speed he picks it up and immediately holds the blade vertically. While he can read the ancient language it would be easier to read horizontal and he just sort of picks up the blade holds it upright were it would be harder but not impossible to read then pockets it right away. I feel like had he read it he would have taken the time to actually look at it. However, in the show they may ignore how the scene was shot all together and say he for sure read it even when it didn’t seem like he did.

Spoiler Alert!!!! The Azor Ahai is the Three Heads of the Dragon (Dany, Tyirion, Jon) ... and all three will take the throne & die ... but together these THREE ... save the Living from the dead. D&D figured out GRRM's story after reading the first two books and GRRM has full TV rights and by Season 3 decided he only wanted to do 7 books and 7 seasons. By the end of Season 6 ... the Show had caught up to book #6 of 7 .. and had begun to spoil TWOW. So nothing in Season 7 & 8 ... is in the books... but you can easily figure out what is in the books with the ridiculous plot holes, devices & armor. Dany, Cersei & Jaime ... were suppose to die ... in Season 7 ... fulfilling the Season 2 House of Undying visions which GRRM approved. But D&D ... made up the most ridiculous reason for Dany not taking the throne in winter then die North of the Wall. Again. D&D knew form the beginning Jon was a Targaryen Prince and Tyrion was Dany's bastard brother, which is why they had Tyrion free Dany's dragons ... not Quentyn Martel ... and the two Dragon did not kill him after smelling his blood. Remember Drogon smelling Jon .... before he let him pass to kill Dany. D& D left clue after clue ... of the actual story in the book ... but were clearly under a NDA.

D&D totally fucked the whole storyline for GoT to go work on Star Wars...? Well, that's infuriating... especially considering that there hasn't been a good Star wars film for 40+ years. Though there are a couple recreations of either a new (full length) season 8 or a new season 9 to tie up all the loose ends. I think it was either Talking Thrones or Alt Shit X that made the Season 9 plot (the whole telling is like 4 hours long on KZfaq) but is extremely thorough & enjoyable. They did such an amazing job that THEY MADE THE PLOT OF SEASON 8 ACTUALLY MAKE SENSE AND SEEM FITTING! It may not be "endorsed canon" but that's now how the story ends in my mind. It includes everything from Bran becoming "The Great Other" (the true main villain) to Jon receiving the sword Dark Sister to Dany coming back to life to Rowlin Howell returning and so much more. It would be incredible to see someone actually take that plot and make it into a show, even in some type of animation/CG. You know, with all of the tech we have nowadays, it wouldn't be hard to generate decent voices for the actors, place everything in UnReal 5, and even get scripts written based on Martin's other books from an AI software. ...God I wish I knew how to do that or had the hardware necessary...

Arya isnt the prince that was promised. I think its Jon why he killed the biggest threat to Westeros Dany. She was the big threat not the Night King. They thought the threat was from the North as they thought the white falling was snow when it was ash from Dany burning everything. Prophesies are unreliable & often misinterpreted as HOTD points out misunderstanding is a bitch & leads to tremendous losses. But that's my take.

The only reason why this is now a proper thought is because of the bad direction they took for last season of GoT. It SHOULD be Jon Snow and it SHOULD’VE lined up with the Night King etc. So what you said works unless HBO comes up with a new season of show of GoT with Jon Snow as the main character to explain things afterwards
