At first I was concerned when your X accounts went dark and there were no new episodes on the "A Cast of Kings" KZfaq channel, but then I saw you moved HOTD season 2 reviews to the Decoding TV channel. To me the Daemon and Rhaenyra argument is the exact same replica of the S1 E1 Daemon and viserys argument where both times daemon is being accused of being unfaithful/untrustworthy to viserys/Rhaenyra and plotting against them and Daemon both times has the same point that while he unconditionally supports Viserys/rhaenyra he thinks they both are too soft to do what is needed and he does those things to protect them. and both scenes end with daemon getting on caraxes and flying off. daemon also has a point, Rhaenyra isnt doing anything to face the reality of war. his original plan was to either go and fight vaghar ord go take harrenhal to support Rhaenyra .

In the book, Alicent is described as looking a lot younger than her age.

The showrunners must be compensating for the later seasons of Game of Thrones when the show would spin its wheels for 7-8 episodes and pack everything into the last two episodes of the season. I like the faster pacing though, it's like a show from 20 years ago.

I remember in the previews Allicent and Heleana appeared to be running from something in kings landing and they were wearing the same clothes they were at the funeral. And the funeral scene ended kind of sudden on the show. Did they cut something out?

Just to add to my comment that something was cut out when Cole confronted the twin about the dirty cloak the twin said it was a reminder of what happened earlier so whatever happened they cut out

I disliked Daemon since the episode in the first season, where he killed his first wife for no other reason that she was mildly inconvenient to him. He is an abuser (a charismatic one, as they often are) and his behaviour since then has reflected that. So i'm not really surpised by his reactions in that episode...

Loved this podcast since early GOT days but please keep this a two person show. The Chen first time viewing experience paired with the knowledgeable woman dynamic works very well, not so much with another voice in the mix

Dunno which twin was killed and which one committed suicide... Oh well.
