My ideal take for dat scene is while aegon doin the 'victory' pose with blackfyre, there's a loud roar beneath the pit dat made everyone tremble & stop cheering. Then rhaenys & meleys hop on the roof of the pit, then dracarys towards the sky to give a signal dat a betrayal had occured. It's a lame "ideal" take, but it's too grand of an entrance for the Queen-Who-Never-Was.

I don't think it was plot armour. I think she chose not to because of the earlier scene between her and Alicent. The 2 of them have never had any issues with each other and she is the aunt of the 2 boys. Maybe she still thinks that there is a chance to end it all without bloodshed. Or maybe that's me making a bit of head cannon.

It was plot armour for her, she should've been the first one to die.
