I really hated how they just let go of Daenerys dreams in the original GoT. I think the dreams and prophesies make the stories much more interesting.

love when you go hard in the paint, you must be legit into this as am I! This show is getting better every episode, and the acting is otherworldly, perhaps the Lannister crew, but it seems even the kids are good actors, normally they annoy me. Joffrey annoyed me, but the kid was a phenomonal actor (most Lannisters, I'd argue Jamie's guy Nicolai (sp?) was excellent, Lena is astonishingly good, and Tywin was the best in the show), HotD is a cast of brilliant actors. Also, I didn't read the books and don't know, but watch for Daemon to become the Sigma (say Oberynn had he married Cersei, and she was born a Targeryan with a badass dragon? Not an obnoxious popularity contest winner alpha who wants the light. Sigma in that he takes as it comes, and knows, in any type of war he can hang with any man alive at this time. Knocking him off a horse is like beating Mike Tyson in a jump rope contest). I'm nowhere near you or most fans with fiction, but I've made a career of reading people, the art of combat and war, and he will only die via disappearing is my guess. Two Gemini's will kill each other (like he and Rhanerya). I can't wait to see this all play out, and I think The shaved head will have to come back. The dragon bond is like "East Side".....4 life haha, nice work my man. You're an encyclopedia.

I was reading a tweet from a Rhaenyra stan. It's interesting. Rhaenyra FIGHTS for her happiness. While Alicent tries to destroy it because it didn't happen the same way for her.

In the books, I think Jon is actually a dragon dreamer of a kind. He keeps having dreams of the Winterfell crypts and a feast on the other side of the wall that I believe is the dead like Robb, Grey Wind and such, but he can't get to them. I think he dreamed of his own death, but that he wasn't meant to stay dead, especially as his dead ancestors were telling him that he didn't belong there. Between his Targaryen side and his Stark side, he was bound to have something.

Yeah, when they weren’t wolf dreams. But, he stopped having those after awhile. In one, while sleeping near a weirwood, he saw Bran’s face carved in the tree, telling him to not be afraid of the dark or death. In the one you mentioned, he kept search Winterfell, but couldn’t find his family, the Starks. So he would find himself looking for him in the crypts, going way down to the lowest levels, only they didn’t want him there since he didn’t belong. And then the old kings began to climb out of their tombs. And in another was of him clad in black ice armor with a burning red sword in his hand, fighting the Others and the dead from the top of the Wall. A lot of times, he was fighting Robb, saying “I am the Lord of Winterfell”, knowing that wasn’t right. I think these were his fears and worries. Perhaps some PTSD.

But, I’m not sure want to think about that anymore since it has been over decade now since book 5 was released and Martin’s list of projects and interests keep growing and with seeing the negative reception to season 8 of GoT and considering where he left off with Jon in book 5, Jon might be died if we even get a resolve to that.

When Helaena prophesies, she closes the spider with a shell. The shell is the symbol of the house of Westerling. Harrold Westerling is Lord Commander of the Kingsguard. The spider is identified with Larys Strong. In the book, he is described as weaving a web. According to the books, Harrold has been dead for 8 years, but in the series he is alive. Perhaps Harrold will try to give out Larys's web and Larys will destroy him in order to put Criston Cole as Lord Commander in his place.

I think his bug was a fire fly, and she had other types of bugs, millipedes…. His is a fire fly for obvious reasons, she’s saying the two heads of the shells will catch anyone weaving a web. Ergo, like most misunderstood metaphorical dialogue, we go to house banners when they don’t ever resemble anything prophetic, if anything it’s like a future past. The shells are Corliss and Rheanys closing in. The Corliss brother thing may be a way to introduce a ruse. She’s the one into bloodlines, and is a Targeryan to make Corliss always in debt to Daemon and respecting him. The Targeryans don’t hurt Valeryan nor each other. Funny how weak Hightower genes are though.

This is really interesting, about helenas "hand turns the loom" thing- I think it might also be a reference to lyanol strong pupet mastering the whole thing, when him and alicent were talking near the tree in episode 5 (i think) he hinted something about making him hand of the king when her son takes the throne. The otto thing is very literal and also true but I think it's more than that- it's any hand of the king being the one controlling events. Laynol was basically the one that made alicent decide to wear the green dress at the wedding by telling her about the moon tea and set everything that followed in motion.

In the books some of the Stark kids (and Jon) had also 'green' dreams, not only warg dreams. All of them (not Sansa, though, if I remember correctly, although I´m not totally sure about her) dreamed about their father death (including Rickon), Arya started having dreams (later we found that they were prophetic) already in their way to the capital, Bram had them, Jon too, etc. The three of them had nightmares relating the Red Wedding (prior to it). Bram is the only one of them who really develops the hability becoming a powerful greenseer (and skinchanger), though. Another one we met with the greensight is Jojen Reed, for example. And at some point we heard other people talking about the three-eyed crow, calling him the last greenseer.

I don't think Bran could see into the future, only the past. That fits with the theme of the books which is about contrasts - fire and ice, life and death, pain and pleasure, past and future, etc. - it would make sense if the Targaryens can see into the future while the Starks see into the past. In the ASOIAF books the Starks represent tradition while the Targaryens represent change.

Daenerys is named after Daenerys, daughter of Aegon IV, who married into house Martell and united Dorne with the Iron Throne, not Daenys the dreamer.

Seems like Dragon Riders/Dragon Bonding and Dragon Dreams are R'hllor's version of the Old Gods powers possessed by Wargs and Greenseers. For the john snow sequel series I think what could make a lot of sense is that the night king comes back because he can only truly be dead if killed by the actual azora high giving us that rematch we want and not taking away from Aria’s kill because without her they would’ve lost the battle. If it’s true it’s only a limited series then I think focusing on the stuff in the lands of always winter instead of John going south would be more interesting. He could also end up moving past the lands of always winter and traveling into the other side of the world setting up a potential spin off from that show with characters we meet a long the way

Daeron the Drunken told Duncan the Tall of a dream that a red dragon would fall on the hedge knight and that Aegon V's dragons would return. Daemon II Blackfyre tells Duncan the Tall of his dream in which the hedge knight wore all-white armor of the Kingsguard under the guise of being The Fiddler and that the Fiddler's dreams always come true. Maester Aemon dreamed of a red star bleeding in the sky and of red dragons, as did his brother Aegon. Rhaegar had dreams involving three dragon riders, which he interpreted as his children and lead him to seek another mother for his third child since Ellaria did not seem like she would be able to give birth a third time safely. Brynden "Bloodraven" Rivers told Dunk and Egg about Targaryens always dreaming of things to come, and he himself eventually became the Three-Eyed Crow.

In the promo picture for episode 8, what color is Helaena's gown? It looks golden but shouldn't it be green? Or is it a light green?

i think they did that because helaena is quite literally the only one who isn't really picking a side. She has a dragon but I don't think she fights, not that she would be allowed to since when they put aegon on the throne she's the queen so they'd want her protected or whatever. She seems a sort of pacifist, not interested in all the violence around her. She still is going to literally stand next to her own mother and brothers though, but her not wearing green seems like it symbolizes that she doesn't have the same motives as everyone else, she probably just wants to vibe and doesn't care. Or maybe her dragon dreams have shown her bits of the future and she doesn't want to support either side because she knows they both kinda lose in the grand scheme of it all.
