The sad thing is that Aegon and Rhaenyra could have been good kings or at least decent kings in times of peace. Instead they were left as those responsible for a war that neither they wanted and that cost the lives of the dragons. Something that future kings would never forgive him

I don't think aegon could have been good as king. Rhaenyra in peace yes, but aegon wasn't meant for ruling. Aemond would have been a powerful king, but he was also quite egotistical and cruel.

Honestly I can't even choose a side..Black or Green, bc both have individualy great characters that I love...For example Alicent and Healena, I believe that Rhaenerys is the true queen though..so on that topic I choose black bc of her and the truth that lies within it...I like Alicent too though bc she's an amazing character and again Healena...I mean look at her she's so sweet and wise, also, prophecies! I just can't choose a side wholy bc I don't like everybody cause most of them are little shits. Just individual ones. ALSO the Velaryons by which I mean the females whose names I have forgotten. The grandmother and her granddaughters...those three are as great as the sea itself..you can't deny how great these characters truly are.

She didn't have choices. She didn't want to be forced into marriage. She wanted freedom. She never said she didn't want children. She was a much better mother than alicent as she didn't hold herself or her children to impossible standards. She married her gay cousin out of duty for the stability of the realm. Her firtst set of children were bastards because even though she and laenor tried they couldn't conceive and they both found love elsewhere. She married her uncle because they always had a connection and their union would strengthen her claim, with her giving birth to children that had more Targaryen blood than alicents. She did the best she could in her circumstances and refused to plunge the realm into war until her brother killed her son, on the same day she lost her father and daughter.

It is possible but in favor of them neither Rhaenyra nor Aegon were ambitious or crazy. It was the war that led them to madness, paranoia and a thirst for revenge. I think that in times of peace and with loyal and competent advisers, they would have been good kings.

@@michelm5072 true that but comparatively I think Aegon would be better at it because he wouldn't rule at all. He would let Alicent,tyland,jaspher Wilde,otto and the rest of his council rule just like robert. Meanwhile Rhaenyra had daemon who was reckless and impulsive,cregan was the same and she made every possible decision that ended up making her lose her support even from corlys by the end and ppl even hated her. Green had ppl like tyland with wealth who remained very very loyal to them
